Just finished Star Wars:Revelation its pretty good although hearing how great the Mandolorians are gets a bit tiresome.

I want to see that play! grin Is it any good?

I was re-reading Eclipse, but that only lasted me 3 days. blush tongue So now I gotta find something else to read before Breaking Dawn... thinking I just picked up Philippa Gregory's new one, The Other Queen, so I'm thinking I should give that a read. All of her other books are awesome. love

Wicked is awesome grin

Is it good? I adore The Other Boleyn Girl and I've read many of her other ones, though three or four I've stopped mid-way through because they get sad or are about to. Is The Other Queen the one about Catherine Howard and Jane Parker?

The Other Boleyn Girl is fantastic, but my favourite of hers is The Queen's Fool. That was the one set in Queen Mary's reign -- the narrative character of Hannah (not a historical figurehead) was very well-constructed, I thought. grin

As for The Other Queen, it's good so far, written in the same style as The Boleyn Inheritence. It's about Queen Mary of Scots, and her subsequent beheading by Queen Elizabeth I.

The Queen's Fool was okay. The last few hundred pages were the best; I didn't enjoy it when she was preoccupied with her crush on Robin. After she got David's son it got awesome grin

Ooo, haven't heard of that yet. I'll have to get it grin

Have you read her Wideacre trilogy?

No, I haven't read that yet. I looked for it in the library here but they only have her more recent books, which is a shame. I'd love to see what her style was like before all of the Tudor Court novels.

Are they any good? I've heard mixed reviews on the trilogy.

I got through the first two and half of the third. Her style is amazing and I had a hard time putting them down, but the characters frustrated me - one was power-hungry, one was a wuss, and the third didn't care about anyone around her. Still, if you can find them, give them a try.

Wicked is awesome. I haven't read The Other Boleyn Girl and her other books yet, but I want to. At the moment, I'm reading Rosencranzt and Guildenstern Are Dead ( love I love that play!), Eclipse and I randomly pulled Angels & Demons off my shelf this afternoon and got through the first chapter.

Oh, and I'm reading Foyle's Philavery: A treasury of unusual words, which is essentially a dictionary and I'm weird that way. nerd peace

R&G is amazing grin A&D is good (though I preferred the other one by him, historial inaccuracies and all) as is Eclipse (but not as good as Twilight). I adored the play version of Wicked, but I didn't care for the book.

I pretty much agree with everything you just said there, Nat. tongue I love R&G, especially R's speech about being dead in a box. tongue I want to make a shirt that says "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Aren't Dead (Yet)" to go with my Spamalot shirt that says "I'm Not Dead Yet." silly

I liked The DaVinci Code, it was interesting, but the style got on my nerves after awhile. Too fast, I think. tongue

As for the Twilight series, I rank them like this: Twilight, Eclipse, New Moon. Have no idea where Breaking Dawn will stand. wink

laugh SEnd me a picture when you do grin

I don't think Breaking Dawn will beat Twilight for me. I usually like the first book best in any long series.

I will. grin My dad's all for the idea, too. tongue

I tend to like the first book in a series the best, too, with the exception being Harry Potter (where OotP is my favourite) and I have no idea what my favourite SW book is, if that can be considered one majorly long series. wink

After I finish R&G, I'm probably going to be looking for some more plays to read, especially those in the absurd drama genre. Absurd drama is fun -- just because it's so absurd! tongue
