Have you read the Phantom of the Opera?
That is my all time favorite. It is a little harder to read because of its age, though.

Thanks, I'll have to have a read of it then. I'd love to see the play.
EDIT: Twilight is my favourite of that series, too, and I don't think Breaking Dawn will steal that position, either. I'm usually like you guys, too -- the first book is generally my favourite of a series, except with Harry Potter, where my favourite is Half-Blood Prince.

So I just read the two Ultimates 2 TPBs. Really great way for Millar and Hitch to kick the series up a notch. Too bad Ultimates 3 sounds like crap- never being that impressed with Loeb in the first place doesn't help either.

I read it a couple years ago when I was going through my French literature stage. I read it along with Hugo's Les Misérables and Notre-Dame de Paris in the original French form. It was very difficult reading (French being my second language), but it was a lot of fun and very interesting

Not reading myself but listening to Neil Gaiman when he reads Stardust. Next I will do the same but with Neverwhere. I really love when authors read their own books.

Sounds good, though I was pretty unimpressed with Stardust.

I am on the third book of The Dresden Files: Grave Peril by Jim Butcher. The first two were pretty good, and so far this one is living up to its predecessors.

HAHAHA That is really funny, because I caught myself staring at it on my shelf earlier this week. The next thing I know, it's in my hands and I'm reading it for like the ninth time!

I loved Twilight.
I just finished reading Michael Crichton's Timeline and now I'm reading a random book called Atlantis that feels like a Dan Brown rip-off... I can't remember the author's name at the moment. I pulled it off the shelf of my library just for fun. It's okay, I guess. I wanted to get out The Other Boleyn Girl, but there's a huge long waiting list.

Nice to see I'm not the only one. When Loeb starts writing a book, that's generally when I stop buying it. I thought I'd give him another chance with Hulk, but lasted two issues. Greg Pak just blows him out of the way every time.

George Martin's Game of Thrones, Ian McEwan's Atonement, and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susannah Clarke.
The book I read basically depends on which fits in my bag when I leave the house.
