So far it's not bad. I usually prefer fantasy to scifi bit it's interesting.

Oedipus Tyrannus and Fellowship of the Ring (yay, first LotR re-read in two years!  ).
Has anyone ever heard of the Gemma Doyle Trilogy by Libba Bray? It includes A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing. Basically, it's a fantasy story set in the 19th century. My best friend loves them and is lending me her copies once she gets back to school later this weekend, so I was looking for a second opinion.

Stick with those Codex Alera books Njofan they are so good.
Book 5 comes out this Nov and I am already drooling over the thought of reading it. Books 3 & 4 of the series get REALLY good.

I read them. The first is really good. The second is okay. The third wasn't very good, and I didn't like the way it ended (though I do like the poem the title comes from). But I can honestly say that I like her writing style (check out her blog sometime, it's really funny) and the books are worth a read.

I just finished reading The Golden Age by James Robinson, still the best non-Astro City work I've ever read (although it switches places with Watchmen every once in a while) and the best story about DC's golden age I've ever read.

I am Reading Shatter Point by Matt Stover.
Its a really good book so far.

TFU as a novel is surprisingly good contrary to the expectations I had after reading reviews. It's not a great SW book, but I have come to like it so far.

Hmm... generally a good book, but not as exciting or suspenseful as I had hoped. I like the second one a bit better.
