I think of all the U.S. covers I like Midnight Tides cover the best.

Although the Brother's on the cover do NOT look like gray skinned Tiste Edur to me.

Picked up The Bonehunters a few hours ago, I'm fixing to dive into it now.

Why aren't Paran and Dujek listed in the DP?

If I'm thinking of the right book Dujek's hardly in it. Paran either, but his role is a bit more.

Well that is disappointing!

He is the main character really. He is Master of the Deck. Have you read Reaper's Gale yet? I want to know if Paran and Silverfox hook up.

There isn't a main character, I don't think. THere are several distinct storylines that happen to cross.

Neither Paran or Silverfox are in Reaper's Gale at all. It returns to Lether to find out what's going on with the Edur invasion, and those two aren't even on that continent.

Really????

I had thought that I read somewhere that in Reaper's Gale the 14th landed on Lether to "recon" with the Emperor of a Thousand Deaths" (Rulad)

Oh well anyway, I just read in BH Cotillon's conversation with the three dragons. I was hooked on that segment. I love it when Erikson talks about the Elder days and what not.

Also the two ghost Apsalar finds are great, they have so far reminded me of Tehol and Bugg. Apparently they use to sit on the Throne too.

It's Paran's sister's army that lands on Lether, the Bonehunters, not Dujek's.

Okay that is it then.

I thought for some reason that the Bridgebunners and Dujek's force were going to meld with the 14th at the end of HoC. Something that Quick Ben and Kalam were talking about made me think that.

I love this series but as you can tell I get a little turned around with it.

Man I AM really lost....I just realized that Paran and the rest of the BB's that survived on Genabakis bought that inn and that Duiker was beginning to tell the tale of the Chain of Dogs.

I reread GotM and started on DHG but I need to reread them all again apparently.

Dujek does go to Seven Cities to finish off the Rebellion but the armies don't merge.

And these books need like 10 rereadings each to get everything, I think. tongue

Okay quick question here:

Does it mean you are acended if you are in the Deck of Dragons?

Baudin
Karsa
Paran

Are they now Gods?

Ascended =/= Gods. Caladan Brood is not a god, but he is an ascendant. Likewise Rake.

But those three, I'd say have ascended.

Okay so not Gods...

However they still gain Extreme powers and long life being ascended correct?

So then until one person actually prays to them ex:Paran. Then one prayer would turn them into Gods correct?

Never really got the whole Ascension thing. I tend to think Paran ascended because of his powers, not the other way round.

And some characters you probably haven't met yet worship Rake but he's not a god.

This is one of the most WTH elements of the series, I think. And that's saying something. tongue

No I tell ya what REALLY makes me scratch my head is figuring out how Mother/Father Dark, Mother/Father Shadow, and Mother/Father Light fit into all this.

I thought that in Gardens the Andii worshipped Rake as a God?
