It's tempting to recommend that, but the Edward book is worth it. That was Obsidian (sp) Butterfly. That rocked hard!

I'll just get that then, although I'll probably have no idea what's happening because it's book 8 or something tongue

What about Stroke of Midnight, anyone read that yet?

The thing annoying me about the Merry books is that they are moving so slowly and nothing is happening except for a lot of sex. Honestly the whole reason that I'm still reading the Merry series is because I wanted to see the confrontation between her and her uncle like the one between she and Andais. But Stroke of Midnight only moved the story forward by about twenty-four hours. Annoying. plain

Yeah, Seduced did that as well. So is Stroke about the Goblin Court bit?

If that's the last one, then not really. She basically deals with her aunt the whole book and how to manipulate her better and toss out some evil people in court. Something to do with the police and reporters too.

I've read all of her works except Nightseer and have to agree that it changed drastically from what she used to do.

A Stroke of Midknight does actually have a plot, though it is sort of annoying how only @4 hours elapses and even some things are left unanswered. But then gain it left me wanting anotehr book.

The Anita Blake Novels are still best. And each of them always has a good plot. Though the Sex is quite ridiculous. In the Merry Gentry series it is explained well...in the Anita books it just sort of started showing up.

I just finished Stroke last night and i enjoyed it because of what about faerie you learn.

so anyone have a specific novel they liked best. I think mine may have been either Circus of the Damned or Lunatic Cafe......I'm a werewolf nut more than i am Vampires....but I enjoy both mixed together so well....

My favourite is actually Kiss of Shadows, but I like my Celtic Mythology tongue

In the Anita series it's probably Circus as well, Vampires > Zombie tongue

I love her books!!! But the 3rd and 4th Merry books have pretty much nothing but sex. It got annoying pretty fast. I think the last Anita book I read was Bloody Bones. I like Richard better than Jean-Claude!!

Nightseer is on my floor, waitin for me to notice it silly

I really liked Circus of the Damned, though. I like the Celtic mythology in the Merry books.

Sooo . . .what's this I hear about the Edward novel?? I love Edward grin

OMG Dance Macabre (new Anita book spoilers!) Anita might be pregnant! Chapters 1-3 are up on here. Big stuff. When I heard LKH speak a couple years ago she said she'd never have Anita pregnant so who knows

Oh, and can we all agree to black out spoilers in here? Be kind to the unspoiled.

I read those chapters some months back.

Interesting stuff.

Not really a spoiler though it amy hint at what was said by Dajuan.

Though I think itll be like the time they thought Anita was going to become a WereLeopard. Just a scare nothing more.
