Good possibility, but she's thrown us for loops before. I thought for sure the guy in the first book was going to make it, he didn't.

About the only thing that I like so far about the new Anita book is the title

I've read all the Anita Blake, but after Incubus Dreams, I think I'm done. The earlier books were great, but the later ones seem to be mostly about her personal life than a mystery. The murder in Incubus Dreams was pretty much an afterthought.

In your opinion, when do they start going downhill? The first 3 were my favorite, but by the time I finished Bloody Bones, I was getting a little irritated.

I would say after Obsidian Butterfly, though it has more and more sex up to that point. After Obsidian Butterfly her personal life becomes the forefront of the books.

I agree with that. The stuff about Edward was great but after that just sex, sex, sex.

No release date yet or title. I go to LKH's official site to find out the latest, she even has/had a blog of sorts on there talking about stuff.

Seeing as this last Merry book came out jsut this past year, i wouldnt expect a new one for atleast until late 2006.
I've seen shes writing Danse Macabre, then shes writing a Micah Novelle. So it may take her a bit to get back around to the Merry Series.
