Charting New Frontiers: "Star Trek" novels and comics.
The universe of "Star Trek" has a rich amount of novels and comics, some based off the televison series, other using them as a jumping off point for new adventures.
Some notable novel series include:
Star Trek: New Frontier, by Peter David
Star Trek: Stargazer, by Michael Jan Friedman
Star Trek: IKS Gorkon, by Keith R.A. DeCandido
Star Trek: Challenger, by Diane Carey*
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Post finale, by various
Star Trek: Voyager, Post finale, by Christie Golden
Star Trek: The Lost Era, by various
Star Trek: Titan, by various
Star Trek: Vanguard, by various
Star Trek, SCE (eBooks), by various
This is just a smattering of the realm of "Trek" fiction out there.
PsiPhi: a great resource for Trek novels
What does everyone else think of the 'Trek' fiction out there?
I love it, I'm currently reading Star Trek: Titan Orion's Hounds by Christopher L. Bennett and it's a great read. A lot of though went into this book, and it's evident, the science seems plausible, the characters are spot on, and it's fun.
