We have three degree system. Roughly translated, you can "pass", "pass with distinction" or "pass with excellent distinction".
The students in the class I will grade this weekend are only 14 years old and not really expected to reach the highest level. it's actually quite difficult since it requires a good analytical ability of history and society.
