I missed all of the pirate talk, thankfully, though I do like that banner.

It's okay. I am more just opposed to the whole silly thing.

The day isn't that exciting, but pirates are/were cool. I've been meaning to get some books about them; most of the stuff I've read/seen is fiction, but I did a small project on them several years ago, and it was really cool.

I'm procrastinating and in a chatty mood Anyone do anything fun lately? Read a good book? Procrastinate on studying for an exam or AP?

Well, them, how about the chatty people who wander in here give me a list of books to read while I recover from getting my wisdom teeth out -- since I've already watched all LotR extended edition movies, the entire 1st new series of Doctor who and plowed my way through three novels. I need something to do!

I am thinking about reading Larry Niven's Ringworld series. I've read the first two, but never got around to the third and fourth.

Ow!! I'm sending mental hugs and milkshakes your way
Anything by Anne Bishop (start with the Black Jewels series)
Sharon Shinne Archangel and Mystic and Rider (start of two really good series)
I'll try to think of more, but those will give you a couple dozen-ish books

It's been ages since I visited this thread. Anyway, I am very well and adore this sunny weather we have here in England. Also, I'm trying to finish Gregory Maguire's Son of a Witch before I start Scott Lynch's second book about Locke Lamora.
