What's do you think the name of the book will be? Who do you think is going to die? How do you think the ending will play out? Who's going to go with Harry on his journey to find the remaining Horcruxes?

See what I'm getting at? Ultimately, what do you think is going to happen in Book 7? This thread's purpose is to compile everyone's theories and ideas in one single post. This is not a discussion thread
. You may only post once, so obviously your single post might be pretty long. After a certain amount of time has passed we'll close this thread and move it away. We'll bury it somewhere hidden. Once Book 7 is released, we'll dig this thread back up and look back on what you, and everyone else, wrote. We'll have a good laugh as well as see who was right about certain things.

Thank TheBoogieMan for the idea. He's the one that got the ball rolling on this.

So post away!

EDIT: You can add you own theories and stuff. You aren't limited to just the questions I asked. happy

Edited title to reflect the role of this thread in conjunction with forum spoiler rules.

Title: Harry Potter and the Final Battle or something similiar having to do with endings and battles.

Who will die: Voldemort (obviously), Snape (maybe), and perhaps one of the Malfoys, bellatrix and some good guy tongue

On the Horcrux hunt: Ron, Hermione, -- those two definately and maybe Ginny, Luna and Neville.

as for the ending: It will turn out that Snape was always a good guy (even though he's not nice), was in love with Lilly, he's the one who asked Voldemort to spare her and Dumbledore insisted that he follow through with his Vow to save Draco. Harry will realize this after some sort of battle with him and then the two of them will concoct some sort of plan to finally take Voldemort down, with all of the regular hangers on in attendance. I think the last Horcrux will be the Mirror of Erised and the final battle with Voldemort will take place in the same place that Harry first fought him in the Philosopher's Stone.

-Snape is a good guy. He's going to die to save Harry at some crucial point ("I didn't do it for you. I didn't it for Lily!"), and Harry will be all "Wow, I thought that he was evil and all. Boy, I feel really bad about that."

-Harry is the final Horcrux, through an accident. The magic that Voldemort was using to make a Horcrux from Harry's death got distorted and warped and instead of some random item being made the Horcrux, Harry became the Horcrux. Harry will go looking for the "final" Horcrux and to the surprise of both Harry and Voldemort, nothing will happen when he destroys it.

-Harry will defeat Voldemort by absorbing him and all his power. This will bring a quick end to the conflict, as none of Voldemort's people are dumb enough to contend with their worst enemy wielding the potential full power of their Lord.

-Ron and Hermione will be a couple. More so than now.

-Percy will die. Painfully. But he'll redeem himself before the end.

Title: Harry Potter and the Deep Magic

Those who will die: Harry, Tom, Snape, Crookshanks, Mr. Weasley, Lucius Malfoy, and Hagrid.

Why Harry will die: I've posted this before in other threads. I just want to place this in the time capsule because I am confident in my vindication.

At the point where Harry defeats Tom, and we know that he will be victorious, he will no longer be a boy. He will be seventeen and "of age" in the wizarding world. He will be forced to leave behind all the childish things of his past and will have to face the world alone...strong and confident in his abilities.

The first chapter of this entire saga is "The Boy Who Lived!" Why did Harry live? Because he became the focal point of love. Through his mother, in someway entirely incomprehensible, Harry became the antithesis to what Tom stands for. Tom stands for darkness; Harry stands for light. Tom stands for hatred; Harry stands for love. They're symbolic for diametrically opposed ideals.

Significant among this symbolism is that whilst Tom roamed the wizarding world before Harry's amazing feat of survival the wizarding world lived in fear and doubt. Their world wasn't really "alive" at all. There was little joy, happiness, or love because Tom had sucked it out of them because of his prevalent darkness. His entire presence drained the wizarding world...just like a dementor but in a different manner.

However, Tom's influence was not absolute. There was still love between people, as signified by Lily and James. Their love endured and so when Harry came along, and Tom chose to ignite the "prophecy", the winds of change started to blow. Tom disappeared and the wizarding world came out of its deep frost. Remember Fudge in the first books cheerily going along greeting Muggles and all. He does this because Tom is gone and the darkness has lifted. Harry became the flash-point, then. In a very real sense, Harry was the reason the wizarding world came alive again. How did he do this? Because he was the boy who lived.

Now, seventeen years later we come to dark times once more. Because of Tom's choice, Harry remains the embodiment of hope, love, and joy for the entire wizarding world. It's symbolic of course, but he is their essence, their life. With DD gone, if Harry fails, then Tom's darkness spreads unchallenged throughout the wizarding world...and possibly beyond. Harry is the key.

It is in this sense that we can realize that as long as Tom lives, people will die, suffer, and fade. Therefore, he must be stopped at all costs and only Harry has the power to do it. Since Harry has always been the inverse of Tom he now will have to make a choice. How far will he go? How much will he sacrifice to literally "save the wizarding world from certain death?" What will he give to ensure that his friends and loved ones will live? His mother chose to sacrifice her life so Harry might live. Will Harry do the same so that others might live? Tom's defeat came because of his mother's choice. Will it come again because of Harry's?

I think the answer is clear: Harry, whose eyes are truly a window to his soul (and his eyes are those of his mother's...who sacrificed herself), will make the same brave choice as his mother because he is inherently good, just like Lily. He will see that the only way to defeat Tom is through love. He will see that love is the true answer to darkness, just as his mother so aptly perceived those long years ago. His insight will lead him to make the same choice Lily did and sacrifice himself for those he loves and for the greater good. As a result he will die for the salvation of the wizarding world. I am not thinking in a Christlike sense, but I think he will die and from his death Tom's darkness and evil will be utterly torn down and defeated. Hope will return to the wizarding world because Harry is the focal point of the kind of love that can defeat the selfish wickedness Tom so embodies. Harry's death will save all wizard-kind and spread love, hope, and peace for a time.

Thus the saga will be bookended by two chapters. The first is the wonderfully hopeful "The Boy Who Lived!" and the last will be entitled, appropriately so, "The Man Who Died!" The intricate path and lovely story which JKR has woven for the world will then be complete and it will proudly proclaim: Love is the answer to darkness!

Who will hook up: Ron and Hermione will finally hook up and we'll learn that they have quite the brood of witches and wizards at the end of the book. In fact, it will be for Ron and Hermione's sake that Harry will sacrifice his own life to defeat Tom and evil.

Snape's nature: Snape is not evil, but amoral. However, he has cast his lot with Tom and will be hunted by the rest of the wizarding world. Snape will die, that's for sure and I think he'll die at a surprising individual's hands.

Unlikely Alliance: Harry and Draco will be forced into an unlikely alliance in the next book. Though they will be at each other's throats, they'll be working side by side for a common goal.

RAB: Will turn out to be Regulus A. Black. However, we'll learn that his accomplice in acquiring the locket horcrux was none other than Kreacher.

Edit: I see I can only post once...so here's an edit with more information.

Will anyone "return": Yes. Fawkes will return and will serve Harry the same as he served DD. DD, however, will not make a reappearance except through his portrait and when Harry visits a memory inside the pensieve. DD is dead and gone. The "clear as water" speculation and theory will turn out to be bunk.

What about Ginny: Sadly, Ginny will be left out in the cold. She will love Harry but she'll also understand Harry's commitment to his mission and what role he has to play in defeating evil.

Will Harry find a horcrux at Godric's Hollow: The answer is no, but he will find something even more important. He will find "understanding" regarding his mother's sacrifice. He sort of understands it now, but there's something about being at the location of his mother's last sacrifice that will give Harry direction in his quest.

Locket: The locket found at 12 Grimmauld is the horcrux from the cave. This will lead Harry to determine that RAB is Regulus.

I'll leave it at this. If I think of anything else, then there are always socks I can post under... tongue

happy

  • I think both Harry and Voldemort will perish. Neither one can survive while the other lives, but I think they'll end up taking each other out. Harry will undoubtingly do something sacrifical before his death.

  • I think Dumbledore is alive, sleeping away in his tomb. I believe the 'water' he drank in the cave (Not the suspected poison, but the water he drank after that) was the Draught of the Living Dead. Everyone, believing he's dead due to Snape, forgets that Snape and him are on the same side and that scene was setup. So the only thing he has to worry about is the fact that he drank the Draught of the Living Dead. So there he is sleeping, until he either wakes up or someone who knows what happened retrieves him and provides the counter potion. I believe this person to be Snape.

  • Ron and Hermione not only get together, but they marry. Living together in their permanent, torturous life that they subsequently started that day during their first year on the Hogwarts Express. tongue

  • Ginny dies as well. I imagine we're going to have one hell of a battle at the middle to end part of this book, one that not everyone will survive. Ginny will die in this process. Harry will once again lose another person that he loves. This pushes him over the edge and puts him into the mind set that he will no longer put his friends in harm. He wants this to end, now! He wants it to end before someone else he loves dies. This promotes the final battle, one that Harry ends up sacrificing himself to stop the fact that everyone around him will continue to be in danger unless he takes out Voldemort.

  • The name of the book is going to be Harry Potter and The Heir of Gryffindor.

Title: Harry Potter and Lord Voldermort or Harry Potter and the Last Horcrux

Who Will Die: Lord Voldermort, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape, any and all Malfoys, Neville will kill Bella, Lupin will kill Greyback, I do think either Tonks or Lupin will die. Possibly Neville and Luna and one of the 4 will die. We’ll have one or more Weasley’s die, most likely Bill and Fleur. (Other young happy couples died previously, I fear that Bill and Fleur will perish.)

What will happen: Harry Potter lived by luck and through ancient magic as a baby. Book 7 will have Harry living after the final duel because he EARNED the right to live and because, ultimately, he is a better wizard than the Dark Lord.

Harry has never held much faith in prophecy or superstitious fortune telling, he believes that the future is what you make it. Harry will do everything in his power to defeat the Dark Lord by being ready to face him. Harry will finally mature in the last book, he’ll realize that he’ll need help from his friends and he’ll learn unspoken spells (or perhaps he’ll finally be able to master them just in the nick of time wink )

Also, he will have to turn to people that he never expected to in order to destroy the Horcruxes, maybe Crabbe and Goyle.

I’m still not convinced that he’s a Horcrux, I thought I read somewhere that JK debunked that theory – but I could be wrong.

JK won’t give in to the whole “Snape’s in love with Lily” theory. There will be another reason that he’s a double agent and will turn against Voldermort. He’ll help Harry kill the snake and then die in the process. Harry will realize that he was wrong all along about Snape and that he shouldn’t have doubted Dumbledore.

I think that all of the Dumbledore’s Army students will be ready to fight and help Harry. Harry and Hermione will get 2 way mirrors so he can check in w/ her whenever he needs her to investigate things at Hogwarts while he’s out looking for the Horcruxes.

    Things that will happen:

Voldermort will have a new wand so that their wands cannot cross and give Harry another chance to escape.

The Clear as Water theory will be true. JK mentioned by name, repeatedly over and over again the “Draught of the Living Dead” too many times for it NOT to come into play in the series. I’ve always hoped that Dumbledore would be dead – as JK would perfectly follow the lines of Myth where the hero must face his dire enemy on his own w/o his mentor to help him. However, it actually WOULD turn things on end if Dumbledore wasn’t dead but in a deep sleep. That would actually follow along the lines of King Arthur where Merlin goes to sleep for many years only to reawaken when Arthur’s in mortal peril.

Dumbledore survived because the Living Dead draught confused the Avada Karvada. He’s in deep repose and will be brought back by Voldermort. If Harry is the last Horcrux, Dumbledore will realize this and destroy the scar for Harry right before Voldermort kills Dumbledore in revenge.

I think Harry will live. He deserves to be happy with Ginny. Ron and Hermione will hook up and maybe Neville and Luna if they aren’t killed. There will be a huge path of destruction that’s left in the wake of the final battle and all will be wounded – physically and/or emotionally. But I just can’t see JK killing off most of or all of the main characters. I know that Harry could be sacrificed and if he is then she could end the book w/ him meeting his parents in the afterlife, but I think having him live and be with the family that he grew up with and fully realize how much he loves the Weasleys and Hermione (as a sister) that he will realize that he no longer needs his parent’s love, that he’s found plenty of surrogates for them in this lifetime.

I’m rereading the books right now and know that I’ll come up w/ more theories, but for now, I’m happy enough to leave this as is.

Date Posted: 4/14/06 11:05pm Subject: RE: Harry Potter Time Capsule for Book 7
All right, here I go. Let's see how long I can make this post...

The title: Harry Potter and the Master of the Dark, or at least something implying Voldemort.

How it will begin: It will start with the double wedding of whichever brother of Ron is marrying Fluer and Tonks & Lupin. After that, Harry will attempt to leave without anyone noticing, but the Weasly twins will and yell after him, ultimately causing Ron and Hermione, now a couple (of course) to go with him. Big, tearful farewell. It is the last time that the threesome ever see some of their friends and family.

Another scene will quickly ensue of Snape and Voldemort, where we get further confused as to the exact allegience and purpose that Snape is ensuing. First, Voldemort will chastise Snape for "not bringing Potter to me." Next, after Snape puts out a lengthy explanation ("I apologize, my Lord, but he and and his friends grew...too troublesome to thwart without permanently damaging Potter..."). After that, however, Snape assists Voldemort in the creation of not just a new wand that will not interfere with the final duel with Harry, but also has special potion ingrediants infused into it that can deflect the unblockable Avada Kedavra, which both assume Harry and others will attempt to destroy Voldemort with.

The middle: As Harry, Ron, and Hermione trek around the country searching for the remaining Horcruxes, they will be attacked by various Death Eaters, including the Malfoys. Draco will almost be killed by Ron, but Harry will prevent that from happening, and spares him. Draco disappears, draggin the unconsious bodies of his parents with him with the "floaty corpse" spell.

Meanwhile, Voldemort, Snape, and other big, some unknown, Death Eaters, along with tons of Dementors, launch two major attacks. One is against the Ministry, in which Percy dies, cowardly, and Fudge dies heroically. All the that don't surrender are killed and become Inferi, and the rest suffer horrific amounts of torture and then are Imperiused. One of these Imperiused people is Arthur Weasly, who is sent back to the Burrow, where the Order of the Phoenix is well known to hang its hat, to infiltrate and destroy them.

Will the help of Arthur and the supposedly special knowledge of Snape, a date is chosed to attack the Burrow. They arrive cloudy near midnight when everyone is sleeping. Arthur initiates the attack by Cruicifying Molly in her sleep, alerting not only the attackers but the attackees. As the battle ensues in and around the burrow, the clouds clear, revealing the full moon. Lupin transforms into his ubermode and tears through everyone, primarily Death Eaters. He fights a gruesome battle against the Death Eater wereworlf, Fenris (that is his name, right? I hope so...) in which Lupin loses his arm and the other his head. The Death Eaters are driven off, and Arthur in cured. However, Molly is driven into insanity by the horrors that have occurred quite literally on her doorstep, while the twins are finally sobered. In the aftermath, Moody is found finally slain, with the bodies of eight Death Eaters lying around him.

The near-end: Harry knows he is not yet strong enough to defeat Voldemort, so he seeks out his last string of hope: the portrait of Dumbledore.

The portraint reveals that Voldermort cannot be defeated by conventionaly magical methods, but by something else. A weapon that Dumbledore was overseeing in construction during the first war against the Dark Lord and early in the second. It lies in that room in the Department of Mysteries, the room of which Harry contains power of in abundance. Only his love of his friends can open the door to that room and emerge with the Dark Lord Destroyer, or whatever it will be called. There is one problem with this, though.... Voldy and co. are now in control of the Ministry, so he'll have to go through them to destroy them. A Catch-22, if anything is.

The end: After Harry and friends find the last Horcrux, whatever it is (I have no hypothesis to this point) they seek out the master of the dark himself. The find him in the Ministry, where Voldemort is cooing over his new throne. After dealing with inadequate guards, they enter. Harry begins to have a verbal duel with the Dark Lord, while Hermioned and Ron make their way secretely to the DoM. Upon arriving, however, they find that their worst foe is waiting for them: Snape. And some other Death Eaters, of course.

After spouting some decidedly villainous lines, Snape begins to casusally deul the two young lovers, watching them trip over their feet as they combat him. However, they realize that he is maneuvering them slowly towards the door of which they seek. As soon as they near the door, he turns on the other Death Eaters and they open the door, whose availability apparently extends to the friends of Harry as well as the hero himself. Inside, they find...

Dumbledore. He rushes to the battle and binds Voldemort into position. The battle, which has been written of intermittently with the Snape duel, is nearly lost for Harry until the arrival of the silver bearded one. Harry raises his wand and Voldemort smirks, knowing two things: he cannot be killed by the Aveda Kedavra curse, and Snape is still on his side, for he had told the Dark Lord all of the plot.

Harry fires the spell, and nothing happens.

Voldemort laughs his high, vile laugh, and tells everyone how he cannot be killed, how his minions are everywhere, how Snape is loyal only to him, how Snape took an Unbreakable Vow not to harm or help to harm Voldy. Then, suddenly, snape draws a new weapon: the Spear of Slytherin, the real last Horcrux. Lighting with incandascent flame, using his own life energy, he plunges it into the torso of the Dark Lord, his last words being:

    "Unbreak this."

Then Voldemort, Snape, and the spear explode.

In the end, Dumbledore explains the whole thing to Harry.

    THE END.

Okay, I'll try this. But I'm always chaning my mind, and will probably want to add a million things after I post this. tongue

-With Dumbledore dead, Voldemort and the Death Eaters will not be holding back anymore. Evil will be winning. It will be very hard for the muggles not to notice unusual things, and tragic "accidents."

-At the start, Harry will be anxious to leave the Dursleys. But around the time he leaves Aunt Petunia will share something with him, and show that she really does care. Dudley will share what he saw during the Dementor attack. Uncle Vernon will get what he deserves.

-Death Eaters will attack during the Weasely wedding, one will die.

-Ron might accidentally get them into danger.

-Hermione will be put in grave danger/captured.

-Ron will finally prove himself to Hermione and they'll become boyfriend & girlfriend.

-Harry will go off and leave Ron and Hermione behind to keep them safe, at some point.

-Neville will have something important to tell Harry.

-Something might be revealed about his frog, Trevor.

-We'll finally might Luna's dad, who might have some important info.

-In the village of Godric's Hollow, Harry will meet a muggle neighbor that escaped from getting his memory wiped because of all the chaos. He witnessed the entire thing. Through the penseive, Harry will finally see exactly what happened that night.

    -Gringotts will return.

-The goblins, centaurs, merpeople, giants, house-elves will all have a role to play.

-Dementors will also return and be important again.

-Harry will be reminded about Regulus, and his middle name, by Kreacher. He will then go back to Grimmauld Place to look for the locket, and then remember Mundungus. And he will eventually get back to Hogsmeade, and be properly introduced to Dumbledore's brother.

-He will learn about Dumbledore, his family, his past. And things which might be of help to Harry to defeat Voldemort.

-Something about Harry's parents will be revealed, like their jobs. Lily might have been an Unspeakable in the Department of Mysteries.

-Harry will travel all over the world and get help from the friends he has made.Might visit the other schools.

-A dragon battle in Romania. Norbert returns.

-One of Voldemort's horcruxes is in Egypt, in a pyramid where Voldemort travelled to in his past that might have been helpful to him.

-We will find out exactly what Voldemort has been planning to do with his "war."

-Voldemort will find out about the prophecy, and that Harry knows about the horcruxes.

-LV will set up guards at the horcrux locations. So at one place, Harry will have to deal with Greyback and werewolves. At another, the blonde Death Eater. At another, Bellatrix. At another, Snape. At another, Wormtail. At another, Dementors. Etc.

-The Final Battle will be somewhere in London, or the Forbidden Forest.

-Voldemort will probably be working on some kind of magical superweapon, which would end the war. This is why (in-story) Harry must rush to destroy the horcruxes, and kill Voldemort, within a year.

-The magical weapon will probably be something that makes Voldemort more powerful, and have to do with the ancient magic. Maybe something that will allow him to perform an Unforgivable Curse (or some kind of curse) on the whole world. Or something to do with fear, time, dementors, luck, ... something that was mentioned in an earlier book.

-The Mirror of Erised will return.

-Mr. Ollivander is really on the dark side. Has been helping Voldemort on a new wand, and the magical superweapon. Maybe the secret to Lily and Harry's eyes is that they can tell the truth about a person, but Harry's sense of this is sometimes off because of his glasses?

-Harry MIGHT be a horcrux. If he is he'll learn it early on, & throughtout the book he'll be learning to deal with his upcoming death to accept it when the time comes.

-After being the lone hero for most of the book, Harry will go back to Ginny and his friends, and remember that love is his strength not his weakness.

-Harry will face Voldemort completely alone this time, his friends will be holding off Voldemort's supporters. Harry will come as Voldemort is literally finishing up his magical superweapon. Harry's blood being in Voldemort will protect him somehow, or maybe foil Voldemort's plans.

-Since in HBP we learn that Voldemort likes using blood in his inventions, it could come into use here. Like Voldemort starts up his magical invention, and only he can stop it (through the mark of his blood). But his blood is Harry's blood, so Harry can stop it with his own.

-Or, if it's true Harry is horcrux, he stopped being one when his blood went back into Voldemort.

-Wormtail OR Snape (not both) will betray Voldemort at some point. But both will be dead by the end.

-The prophecy will NOT come true, in some way. Harry is ready to die and accepting of his fate after his journey through the book and the series, but something unexpected happened & he will realize/remember there is no such thing as fate. (like what POA taught with the time turners, & Dumbledore's lessons)

(If Harry does die, he'll probably die doing the same sacrafice for Ginny that his mother did for him, and this time Voldemort will die because of no horcruxes. But I don't think this will happen.)

-Voldemort might be killed in some other way, maybe the magical invention backfires. Maybe his memory is wiped, and he can start over again as a good person. Maybe he is given the Draught of the Living Death. Maybe he attracts the attention of the dementors and has the last piece of his soul sucked out.

-My favorite idea about what happens to Voldemort: Maybe he is frozen in time, alive forever BUT powerless. Left only with the memories of what he did and his shame and regret of his life. Which will slowly drive him insane and torture him over eternity. (Maybe this is that water/ice spell Dumbledore tried to do on him in OOTP).

-The curse on Defense against the Dark Arts teachers at Hogwarts will finally be broken. The new teacher (also the only one Harry never gets to know by being away) will stay for many years.

-Hermione will be a professor, unspeakable, or other job that you need a lot of brains for. Ron will be married with her. Neville will be the new Herbology teacher, Professor Sprout probably died sometime during the book. McGonagall will stay Headmistress for a long time.

-The nonhuman races will finally become equal. Umbridge will work with centaurs for the rest of her life.

-Harry will marry Ginny, and become an Auror. But he'll constantly be at odds with the ministry of magic, and capturing the last dark wizards and witches out there in the world. But he'll keep to himself, and most will not realize he is Harry Potter after a few years. His celebrity problem will be over. Across the world, he'll be known only as the man with the scar.

Who will die: Lupin, Snape, Malfoy, Bellatrix!, Srumgeur(MoM sp?)

On the Horcrux hunt: Harry, Ron, Hermoine for all of the hunt, and Neville, Luna, and Ginny for part of the hunt.

Ending: Harry and Voldemort duel but the outcome is a twist! (Harry dies? Voldemort doesn't die? or maybe both die?) The location will be either be in the Department of Mysteries (locked door anyone?), Hogwarts (somewhere secret like the CoS or a undeground layer), or somewhere new(horcrux location?).

I have no ideas as to the title of Book Seven. I don't really mind, either.

    I'll keep it simple.

Snape is acting on Dumbledore's orders and to bring about the defeat of Voldemort. He is not wholly good or wholly evil, but he is on the side of good.

Snape was in love with Lily, although it was not reciprocated. It is Lilly's handwriting in the Half-Blood Prince book, and it was Snape who Petunia calls "That awful boy". This is why Voldemort gave Lily a chance to live, and this is why Dumbledore trusted Snape.

Draco Malfoy will help Harry at some stage.

Harry will use Lily's wand in the battle to destroy Voldemort.

Harry is not the heir of Gryffindor, and although Dumbledore may be, I suspect he is the heir of Ravenclaw.

    RAB is Regulas Black.

Neville will become a teacher at Hogwarts, taking Sprout's place.

The book will open with Fleur and Bill's wedding, which will be attacked by Death Eaters, and a member of the Weasley family will be killed. Harry will then be even more prompted to travel to Godric's Hollow (which, by the way, is named after Godric Gryffindor). If Percy is not the one to die at this stage, he will redeem himself to his family.

Dumbledore is dead, although we will interact with his portrait and his memories through the pensieve. I have much sympathy for the Clear as Water theory, but I believe for storytelling purposes, Dumbledore must be dead.

We will see Fawkes again, and he will aid Harry in the final battle.

    Hagrid will die.

Harry will live, as will the trio and Ginny.

Hogwarts will reopen, and although Harry will not be a full student, he will use it as a base for his activities and we will see much of the storyline progress through Hogwarts.

The barman at the Hog's Head is Aberforth. He will play a reasonable role in helping Harry, and he already posesses one of the Horcruxes (the locket), which was given to him by Mundungus, from Grimmauld Place.

Wormtail will assist Harry in some vital yet minor way, and die by Voldemort's hand. Things aren't looking good for Lupin, but I don't want him to die, so I'll say he won't.

Someone else was present at Godric's Hollow those years ago. It was either Wormtail or Snape; or both. Dumbledore visited the scene shortly after events happened, but was not present to see Voldemort's destruction. If he wasn't present, it was Snape, and it was he who returned the Invisibility Cloak.

Dumbledore's Army will play a role in the final battle. So will Hagrid and Grawp. Both will die.

Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron will all turn out happily ever after. I hope.

The last book will outsell any other Harry Potter book and break all records for the "opening week" of a novel. And it will be great. And I will cry at the end. tongue

    Great stuff.

Would anyone else like to add to this before we bury this until next year?

Well I haven't put an outstanding amount of thought into this, so it'll be short and sweet, but I'm voting that Harry dies. The books ahve been getting darker and darker, and Voldemort has been getting more and more powerful, and I think Harry potter will have to sacrifice himself to stop voldemort once and for all. Or perhaps also saving hermione or something. ANd if Harry dies, Herione and Ron will be getting together finally. The End!

If it's a matter of contributing before it gets buried, then I suppose I'll chip in. Short and sweet, likewise . . .

    - Snape is on the side of the angels. No real idea as to his deeper motivations, but he's on the same side as Harry and will prove this incontrovertibly - even if he has to die to do it.

    - Dumbledore is dead. Portrait? Check. Curse on Harry lifting? Check. Much as I hate to think of it, I don't think he's coming back this time.

    - I have this vague feeling that Tonks will end up taking on Fenrir Greyback. There'd be a kind of synchronicity to it if she did. Her, or Bill Weasley.

    - Hermione and Ron will get together, or be on the very brink of doing so by the end of the book.

    - Either Harry or Ginny will be killed. Depends whether the arc is going to end with "Harry must sacrifice his life" or "Harry must live with Ginny's sacrificing herself for him". Either is possible.

    - Something of significance will happen at Godric's Hollow. Something to do with GODRIC Gryffindor. The founders have been mentioned too many times for them to be only incidental to the plotline - Harry and Voldemort's enmity is only the latest expression of a feud going back a millennium.

    - It'll be great. I will cry.

Title: Harry Potter and the Dark Lord

Those who will die: Volde, Mrs. Weasley, Draco, Hagrid, Aunt Petunia, Mr & Mrs. Longbottom, Snape, Lupin and Tonks

Who will hook up: Ron and Hermione will continue their relationship which seemed to have started in Book 6. Luna and Neville will finally get together.

Snape: I feel Snape will end up dying in the end of the book trying to help Harry. I think he did kill DD but he will fight Hermione in the final battle while Harry is fighting Volde and she will remind him of his love for Lily. For how could he of loved Lily and let her child die. She was willing to die for her child because of her love and to let her child die would be destroying who she was.

Draco & Mr. Malfoy will die trying to protect the Mrs from Volde. I think Mr will go first trying to protect his family but even though Draco and the Mrs. run they are found by Bellatrix, who though she doesn't want blow her cover and her own places ends up killing Draco but can not kill her sister

Mrs. Weasley will be attacked by Death Eaters. Possibly during the wedding or another time when Percy is around. When he sees what happens he flips and works trying to help Harry with finding the Horucruxs; since he is at the ministry he can get more information that they have on Volde.

Mr & Mrs. Longbottom Bella is sent to finish what she started - they still have the information in their minds.

Hagrid will be killed by Snape

Heromine & Ron: Heromine will become seriously injured in teh final battle but Ron will finally prove himself to her and everyone else when he protects her from several death eaters.

Lupin & Tonks Lupin will be fataly injured in a battle with Grayback. Tonks will try to save him by confronting Greyback herself but ends up being killed. With his last bought of strength Lupin will kill Greyback and then Wormtail will use his silverhand to put Lupin on of his misery because his death would take too long.

Unlikely Alliance: Harry and Snape; Heromine and Draco - she will give Draco information to help hide his mother from Volde.

RAB: will not be Regulus but could be R.olduphus A.nd B.ellatrix

Ginny: Ginny will be captured at the wedding. The Death Eaters know of her relationship with Harry. She will be brought out at the final battle and Harry will almost die trying to save her from Volde. Because he if he dies and Volde lives she will die as well. This fills him with the love that his mother had for him - true, undying love.

Godric's Hollow: This will be Harrys first stop after going to his Aunt & Uncles for the last time. He will stay, along with Ron & Heromine, for one night but will stay up all night talking to his Aunt and finding out more about his mother. She will give him something that she had taken from Lily when they were teenagers. Maybe Lilys first wand or a necklace. At GH, he will find the place still protected or it will have some risdual vibrations of Lilys charm.

The Final Battle will happen at Godrics Hollow

After the Battle Ron & Heromine will get married immediatly. Harry will go into isolation with most of the Wizarding world thinking he had died in the battle with Volde - he is sent to the hospital but with the help of the Weasleys and McGonogall will make the world think he perished afterwards. After Ginny graduates she will join him at 12 Grimmwauld Place where he now lives under the name Albus Black - a long lost family member. And his scar will be gone.
Ron & Heromine will name their first child Harry.
Harry & Ginny will name their first child Lily who will have Ginnys red hair and Harrys green eyes.

This'll be short, it's a while since I've read the books.

Title: Harry Potter and the Last Horcrux

    - RAB is Regulus A. Black. Spoiler-> This has sort of been confirmed by the Finnish translation of Book 6, where the initials reflect Black's Finnish name.

    - Snape is on the side of the good guys and will die in the final battle, killed by Voldemort, to prove it.

    - Dumbledore is well and truly dead. Harry can only talk to his pictures, but he will still be able to help a lot.

    - Harry is the last horcrux, and he will have to die to make sure Voldemort is truly dead. As long as Harry is alive, there is a small chance Voldemort might come back even if the other parts of his soul are destroyed with the horcruxes. This doesn't mean that Voldemort necessarily kills Harry, but by the end of the book he'll be dead.

    - Ron and Hermione will marry, and have many chilren, at least one of whom will be a Muggle.

well, i want to get this in before it closes...

Title: Harry Potter and the Scar of Destiny -- i think it will be in the "HP and the ____ of ____"
(what ever the title is, i know it will be awesome!!)

    im just gonna rant here:

--Harry finds out vital info at Godricks Hollow, something that will change his understanding of his family.

--Lilly's eye's, and the fact that Harry has them, will somehow play a role.

--I think Snape was in love with Lilly. But Lilly fell for the "bad boy"

--Draco and Harry will form some kind of alliance.

--Neville will save Harry or some major character at one point.

--Dumbledores Brother will have a major cameo. He will give harry tremendous help, and possibly a horocrux or clues to what they might be.

--Ron and Hermoine will kill the snake horocrux, Harry's ability to speak parseltongue will come into play

--Hogwarts will be open, Mgonnagil as headmistress--- and Harry will attend school and classes. However, harry;s grades will be near failing as he sepnds all his free time researching and or hunting Horocrux's

--There is something important in the room of requirement, in addition to the HBP's book

--The HBP book will be used again, and spells used from it by harry

--The ability to aparate will be a major help for harry

--I think there is something important under the Dining Room table at the Mafoys house.(or maybe that was riddle's diary)

--Harry will go to Godricks Hollow on two seperate occasions. he over looked something huge on his first visit back.

--Wormtail will sacrafice his life to help harry or one of the OotP survive

--Harry will kill Snape, only to realize he made a serious mistake. Why DD has so much trust in Snape will be revealed

--the final battle will be huge, with a lot of participants...how ever the final showdown will be just Harry and Voldemort...alone

--The muggle world will be effected by Voldemorts "war"...The will start to get curious and the muggle public will be on the verge of discovering the Wizarding World...(perhaps its Volde's plan to wipe out all muggles)

--The elves, Dobby and Kretcher will play a role, however they will not be involved in the final battle

--Hagrid will live, but be seriously injured and left out of the final battle. Hagrid and Grawmp will make a major impact and kill atleast one major death eater...

--I expect the Centaurs to be involved...Buckbeak will be involved

--Moody will die, So will Kingsley Shakle Bolt, and perhaps a weasley parent Percy will reunite with his parents by the end...Tonks, Lupin will live happily ever after.

--DD is dead, but can be reached via the picture on the wall, and penseive. Plus DD's brother will tell us some interesting info.

    --Griffendor's Heir will be reveiled

--there will be a move for equality in the wizarding world

--Harry's scar could be the final horcrux, and by the end, he will not have the scar anymore

--Harry will try to take on to much on his own, and he will almost get in way to far over his head, people will die saving him.. He will have to realize that he needs all the help he can get or else its a lost cause

--Harry will realize that the best "Defense against the Dar Arts" does not come from spells and wands, but from your Heart

--Trelauny(sp?) will make a final prediction.

--hermoine and ron end up getting married and have a huge weasley clan for themselves...all red head know it alls

--Harry and Ginny will get married as well. (this better happen)

-- Harry will destroy lord voldemort. but perhaps Tom Riddle will live

--There will be a new D.A. teacher, who will NOT make it through the book. After Volde is destroyed, and happy endings are told, Harry will end up as the new D.A. teacher at Hogwarts, and the "curse" on the position will be forever ended.
