Does anyone know where I can get 'The Guns of Tanith' from new? I can't seem to find it.

There is an Omnibus coming out soon "Gaunts Ghosts - The Saints" that has 4 Gaunts Ghosts books in them, one being The Guns of Tanith
BTW, I think its uberlame that no one here plays the table top game.

I did see that when I was looking for Guns of Tanith, but I've already got book 4.
I used to play the game, as soon as I get a job I'll be building a female only army for it.

The Sisters of Battle? That is cool. They're my second or third choice for an army. My first project is a Mordian-style Imperial Guard regiment.

Yeah, the Sisters of Battle rock. I have an Ork army somewhere, I need to search through everything and find it again.
Wasn't there a graphic novel with a Sister of Battle in it? Daemonifuge or something like that?

I am not sure. I am just getting in to the WH40k universe. I have a bunch of books at home that I haven't got the chance to read.
I am curious to know how the SOB army operates really. I imagine that it is somewhere between Guard and Space Marines in strength of the individual soldier.

From memory back when they were released, it is a bit of a mix between the two. I don't know how it is now that they've spent the last few years updating everything and making it more accessible.
When I get back from my holidays and finally will have money to be able to spend I've been thinking of getting back into it time permitting.

I wish they would come out with an Ordo Xenos army, cause that is the one I desperately want to play.

Has anyone read any of the Horus Heresy books? I'm tempted to ask for a few as it's my birthday soon and it'll be Christmas shortly after.
Also, I should have The Saint soon.

I've been reading 'The Guns of Tanith' by Dan Abnett and I'm really enjoying it. I think he's taken the position of 'favourite author'. It's made me want to write some fiction now.

I've read the first couple of Horus books and I have the rest in the reading pile. I've enjoyed the series so far.
Moosemousse - if you like Abnett be sure to read his Eisenhorn Trilogy. Those were the first Warhammer 40k books I read and I thought they were excellent.

I read Dark Apostle about a month ago, and it has probably become my favorite of all 40k books I have read so far, right up there with Grey Knights.
The Catachan book in the Imperial Guard series was fairly mediocre, probably the least enjoyable of the 40K books I have read thus far.

I picked up Death World, Desert Raiders, and Rebel Winter in the local Games Workshop today. I started with Death World and I really like it so far. It's a change from the guys in armor. It reminds me a bit of Harry Harrison's Deathworld series (the jungle as enemy) which I read years ago and really enjoyed.
