I can see raven's points. I don't love JRJ, but i don't really dislike his stuff either. He's a good choice for an event book, because he's consistant.

Honestly JRJR is probably my fave artist outside of his father and Alex Ross, but being Spiderfan I am biased. His work may not be the most vissually appealing at first but I fell in love with how he vissually tells his stories very quickly. To me his art looks not like people posing, but "found" moments, which heightens the action and brings it to life IMO.

Alec Ross is quite possibly the only prolific artist whose work I dislike more than JRJR. His art makes Kingdom Come quite a chore for me to try to read through, and after two issues of Justice I gave up.

I love Alex Ross, he's one of my favourite artists. I love his Superman. Kindom Come is a gem. I wish Marvel would hire him to do more than just covers every once in a while.

I can't wait for this to hit stands. I usually don't care about many Marvel titles but saw the preview for this in Wizard and yeah the thought makes my inner child happy.

This story looks to be better than "Civil War". I also like that Peter David got to do the setup, before Pak returns. A nice way to set things up and really get into Hulk's head.

I think that I prefer the story to the Civil War story, but the art... uhg. I'll buy it, but I'm going to gripe and moan every issue.

I'm reading the Prologue right now.

Peter David is one of those few authors that can put humor into their books without making the book any less serious. Jim Butcher is another such author. In of itself, a comic aside does not in any way, shape or form detract from the seriousness of a story. Take Hamlet for example - in my opinion, that's by far the funniest of Shakespears plays. In particular, the scene where Hamlet explains that Polonius is at supper is brilliant black comedy.
Comic asides are good, and Peter David is fantastic at them.
