So, where do you think they'll end up this time? tongue

I wouldn't be overly surprised if they went extremely far out of the way, like Ch'in or Bhodistan, or slightly closer but not explored yet, like the Chowat, Ephesium or the Ummaiyyat. It would be funny if they accidently discovered America tongue

I would like to see just Terre d'Ange, politics and sex, but that's just not going to happen. The hardback is 672 pages, and I don't think Carey can go that long without a large scale adventure tongue

laugh The farther they get from home, the less I like it, generally. I'm not sure where they'll end up, but probably in Italy (spacing her name for it). We know that Melisande'll be back.

By the way, I saw it on a bookshelf yesterday grin

Gah, I can't even find it on Amazon yet, for a decent price, anyway tongue

And Melisande disappeared from La Serennisima, remember. I doubt she'd still be there, considering the standing orders for execution. She's probably in Ephesium. It's where that Unseen Guild bloke was from, IIRC, and it seems like they'd protect one of their own.

As for further from home, I agree on the count of Dart, which was the best, but Scion was only in two countries, and that was boring as hell in Lucca, nearly as boring as Avatar in Saba.

Possibly. But I don't see her going as far as Saba or that place Imriel went last time; she's somewhere in the "civilized" world.

True, that wasn't a great book.

I just finished re-reading all 5 (damn that was time-consuming), and due to my extreme lack of patience, I ordered Mercy from Amazon marketplace. With any luck I should have the book within a week. Then I shall be extremely content to read what exactly the wonderful, horrible things are going to include, and whether Imri can actually perform them satisfactorily tongue

laugh I ordered mine from the library (hardcovers are too expensive and I only have the first one, which is in paperback) but they haven't gotten their copies in yet, so it could be a while.

Haha, expensive. Here, the paperbacks cost £7.99 ($16) and the hardbacks cost about £18.99 ($38). I don't think the US can beat the UK for expensive tongue

Tis odd though.

Warning, these next highlights actually contain spoilers, unlike my previous two random insanities tongue

Like, ooh, magic. Aaah, Imri is so funny. Aww, poor Sidonie. Haha, Melisande is awesome. lol@Imri not being Imri anymore.

Like that.
