Has anyone read New Avengers #40 yet? Excellent issue.
Looks like Spider-Woman is actually the Skrull Queen, and has been for a while.

The issue mainly goes into the past, to a time right after the Illuminati went to the Skrull throne world. It shows that it was then that the Skrull took their DNA, and whe King Dorrek commanded the Head Priest of the Sciences to utilize those DNA samples to create an army of super Skrull.
The current Skrull Queen was a prophet back then, and warned the King of events that would bring the Skrull Empire to it's knees, a wave of destruction (Annihilation Wave) and a devourer of worlds (Galactus) specifically. She was exiled, but after the Skrull Empire was in ruins and Dorrek dead the Skrull came to her and asked her to be Queen because she was correct.
From there she went to visit the Head Priest of the Sciences, and learned of what he was doing. The Skrull posing as Electra was there, as was the Illuminati Skrull. The Head Priest explains that during the years the Skrull have been able to learn more about the human species, the mutant gene, and the history of Earth than even Humans currently know.
He also explained that the Skrull can now duplicate any powers and abilities of any human or mutant they have the DNA of, and can mix and match them in any way they want. They can also avoid detection from technology, mutant abilities and magic. No existing power on Earth can detect them.
In the final pages the Queen states that it is foretold that Earth will become the new Skrull sacred world....and that is their goal for this invasion.
I know I don't do the issue justice with my description, but I tried.

However, the way it's shown, Spider-Woman might not be a Skrull afterall- we only see the Queen's intention to impersonate her, not evidence she has actually achieved that goal...yet. It could go either way.

Good point quest. I believe that she has been a skrull, we see her eyes turn that skrully shade of green in one of the issues of new avengers.

Secret Invasion #2 was intriguing. We have a few Skrull's and non-Skrull's in the crashed ship, so far. The crashed Spiderman was fake. Cap may be real... but I doubt it.

The Hawkeye from the ship was also a Skrull. And I don't see how this Cap can possibly be real. It's a mind**** by the Skrulls, just like the rest of the invasion. Wouldn't the one shot at the end of Civil War turn back into a Skrull when it died in that case?

There are like half a dozen Captain America's running around right now. It's just like when Superman died in the 90's.
1. Bucky
2. The Clone or whatever that's set to show up soon in Captain America.
3. Likely Skrull from Secret Invasion.
4. WWII era Cap from Avengers/Invaders.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy #1 ended with a teaser of a giant block of ice that appeared in space with Cap frozen in it.
6. & 7. Both Hawkeye and the Punisher have briefly called themselves Captain America since Steve Rogers' death.

They were introduced in Mighty Avengers a few weeks ago. Basically, Fury put together a team of no-name characters that the Skrulls wouldn't know about. With the exception of Quake, who appeared in Secret War and New Avengers, all the characters are brand new.
