I started writing yesterday and I'm to 3000 words so far. And I honestly hope 10.000 will be enough. I'll have to scratch a whole lot, if not. 
And this is my first try at a fantasy story. It's different but the it's definately a fun challenge.

I'm brainstorming still. I wanna be sure which of two directions I want to take the story before I really get into it.

I'm not sure how to answer that one . . . if you published it and it wouldn't be sold in the SFF section of the bookstore, then it doesn't qualify.

I've managed to write some 1100 words so far. Of course, since I don't know how to end this story (or any of the characters names...) I might just end up never finishing it; we'll see.
Oh, and a little question about the prompt: does that have to be the whole first sentence or just how it should begin? Just wondering since I just realized that I might need to change that first sentence.
