I liked tonights episode with the exception of the Lara/Zor-El thing made me wanna puke and I SO did NOT like Clark taking the crystal and hiding it from Kara but sharing it with LANA??????

Well, this certainly explains why Jor-El didn't trust Zor-El or, by extension, his family.

The crystal hiding bit - it makes me wonder. Nietzsche said: "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." Perhaps Clark, having fought Lex, Zod and so many meteor freaks, is becoming a bit of a monster himself. Having stared into the abyss of all these, plus the Phantom Zone escapees (Bizarro in particular), the abyss is staring back into him.

I want to know what Lana is really up to, myself. thinking

No, Lara was like a mother to Kara. In "Smallville", Zor-El did marry Alura InZe, but he did not love her like he loved Lara Lor-Van. Lara loved Jor-El and not Zor-El. Kara loved Lara, but as a secondary mother figure. A favorite aunt. Zor-El was jealous of the marriage and most likely it seems as if he sided with General Zod against Jor-El and the Science Council.

In regards to the Sunstone crystal, Clark isn't a monster. It has his mother's DNA in it. Meaning that if he can figure out how, he can clone her and thus have her back. But the spoilers for "Blue" are in and it's not good. In fact it is a trap for Clark that will introduce Blue Kryptonite.

Here's what I gather from the spoilers and the acutal episodes. General Dru-Zod did not like that the Science Council were going in a different direction, which resulted in Zod leading his insurrection. Jor-El believed that Brainiac would help, but was decieved by Zod's cunning. Among Zod's followers were Aethyr and Nam-Ek, possibly Non and Ursa. Titan and possibly some of the other Phantom Zoners who weren't Kryptonian may have been used as mercenaries. Anyway, Jor-El feared Krypton's immient destruction and thus had prepared for the inevitable. Once Lara became pregnant, he created the Crystal Of Knowledge which would create the Fortress. It contained nearly everything that Jor-El had known about Krypton up until he hid the pices away on Earth.

With the help of J'onn J'onzz, many of the criminals and loyalists were captured and sent to the Phantom Zone. Many were stripped of their corporeal forms and Zod was the last to go, vowing that he will have his revenge on Jor-El, one way or another. Jor-El and Lara sent Kal-El to Earth via spaceship, rather than teleportation. Kara was sent by Zor-El for his own reasons. I also believe that Kandor will play a role, since odds are it'll be shrunk down, as per the lore. Zor-El did mention protecting the city.

Why? At least they kept the Pre-Crisis meaning which is Star Child.

It does normally, but like with Green and Red Kryptonite, the producers of "Smallville" are taking liberties. Green does weaken and kill Kryptonians, while slowly affecting humans. Red Kryptonite causes random effects such as uncontrolled powers to mutations. It lasts 48 hours and the effects vary with each piece, each time. Gold robs Kryptonians of the powers permanently. Blue weakens and kills Bizarro and Bizarro duplicates. But for some reason, they've gotten Blue and Gold confused.

http://www.kryptonsite.com/ says this
- UPDATED 10/31/07: The guest character ends up saving the lives of two other characters and is quickly deemed a "hero."
- The guest character first exhibits powers in this story thanks to a Kryptonite plot device that may stretch your imagination a little bit, but it's still fun.
- Jimmy thinks this person's power is "cool," which makes Chloe question her decision not to tell him about her meteor-based ability.

- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.
- Lex tries to use this newly-supowerpowered person to his advantage.

- UPDATED 10/26/07: A character that fans have been wanting to see on Smallville for the past few seasons should be appearing in this one.
- Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.

stretch your imagination makes me think it'd either be elongated man or plastic man

Statement From Gough & Millar On The Writers' Strike

As of 12:01 am yesterday, our entire writing staff is on strike. That means that the pencils went down and there won't be any more scripts until our guild, the WGA, receives a fair deal from the studios and networks. The biggest sticking point is residuals on the internet and new media. Residuals are the amount a writer gets paid every time an episode or movie they wrote is rebroadcast. Right now there is no formula in place for internet downloads. So any episode of any show that you download on iTunes or other such services, or watch for free at one of the network's ad-supported websites, the writer gets nothing. I think we can all agree that is unfair.

We were able to complete scripts for 15 episodes. Episode 15 is a cliffhanger. To the best of my knowledge, the studio plans to produce all of them. If there isn't a quick resolution, then the season ends in February. It is our wish that this strike will be resolved quickly so that we can get back to doing what we love -- writing.

From the entire writing staff, thank you for your continued support.

Up, up and away!

Al Gough & Miles Millar

I'm sure it'll be solved before Febuary. The writters won't be making much money while on strike.

More of the same from another great show. At least they have enough episodes to get us into February, hopefully the strike will be resolved by then.
