Yes, great episode. I'm glad that Lana's all evil. Her character is much more interesting this way and the flat OMG I love Clark sooo much Lana from the past few episodes.

She's not evil. Just filled with vengeance and for good reason. She only acted as she did because power tends to corrupt, unless one adheres to a strong moral code. That's why Clark has gone evil on his own. He's had to have Red Kryptonite bring out the worst in him.

Description of 708 - "Blue"
Clark (Tom Welling) hears the voice of his biological mother, Lara (guest star Helen Slater), calling for help from Kara's (Laura Vandervoort) crystal and decides to release her, despite Jor-El's warnings.
Lara and Clark reunite and she gives him Jor-El's ring, which contains blue kryptonite. As Clark puts it on, he realizes Zor-El (guest star Christopher Heyerdahl) manipulated the whole thing and that blue kryptonite strips him of his powers, enabling Zor-El to take control of the Fortress of Solitude. Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) each discover Lois (Erica Durance) and Grant (Michael Cassidy) have been seeing each other and warn them to stop.
Kristin Kreuk, Aaron Ashmore and John Glover also star. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer.
Sounds like it could be a very good episode and the preview looks promising.

I wish they'd use Gold instead of Blue.

I disagree. I believe that having the powers did nothing to her personality, remember what she said? It was like she could do anything. If your a person with a lot of pent up aggression and a penchant for kidnapping and torturing people, then suddenly becoming invincible is just going to make you less devious. She had nothing to fear so she did what she already wanted to do. The talk about Kryptonian abilities having negative side-effects on people was most likely a red herring.

I tend to agree the fact she had the powers ment nothing. In truth if she had recieved them before she married Lex she most likely wouldn't have done anything close to what she did. In fact most of the metor infected didn't harm anyone, alot have but there are some who haven't. Those that have had hard times or bad life exp.

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
--Lord Acton.
If Lana had the powers before hand and Lionel threatened to kill Clark if she didn't marry Lex, she would use her powers on Lionel to threaten him. Power can corrupt those who do not take care to avoid being corrupted by the power. She kidnapped Lionel because he had threatened Clark and forced her into a marriage that she didn't want to be in.

OMG! :o I am stunned by the revelation in "Blue". There were a couple of interesting plot points and developments, but there is a specific one that blew me away and reaches WAY back in the series.
