Well the casting is great so far, but I'm still nervous about this McG Character directing. I've seen the semise of the SW legacy, Indie, Spidey, and I really can't take another blow to a classic.

First, Let me just say that I agree with almost all of what Moriarty is sayin'.
Second, if that spoiler is true, then I want nothing to do with the new Terminator series.

Apparantly chud.com have also heard this and are saying its true.
I've not seen T3 or the TV series, and I dont think I'm going to see this either

Then what? You think your Li'l Witch buddy's gonna stop with us? You saw her! She's a truck driving Magic Mamma. We've got maybe seconds before Darth Rosenberg grinds everybody into Jawa-burgers, and not one of you bunch has the midiclorians to stop her

I'm hoping that this is misdirection.

teaser trailer is up!
It's...actually rather effective. It has a very distinct look from the other movies, though. Brighter, washed out a bit- thoguh the few glimpses of night/dark action doesn't look that far off from the existing future war scenes.
The use of the percussion theme still triggers an emotional response from me though, as it did with the T3 logo teaser- hopefully they've learned their lesson and will actually use it in the actual film this time.

Consider me teased. And pleased that they've ditched the whole gormless "The Future Begins" sub-subtitle, and stripped it down to one word.
The fact that we're getting out of the whole "junkyard" look for "the ruined future," and broadening the scope of the shooting-palatte a bit has my curiosity piqued for this. Could McGinty actually pull this thing off?
By the way, if you pick at the footage, you can see the T-600 with the minigun. ****ing creepy.

I think that's an awesome plot point! Fans complain about sameness and cliches, then when filmmakers finally do something new, everyone says they hate it and how they're going to boycott the franchise. Good heavens, people, it's science fiction. Let the coolest, most challenging ideas prevail! This one is a winner.

NICE catch!!
So, I'm guessing what we're seeing is Connor escaping from a work camp (climbing up the fense walls with the T-600 watching, and then the earlier footage of him fleeing through the woods as trees are mowed down by gunfire likely from that T-600).
Can't figure out how the pilot body hanging from the dish figures into things- by this point there'd be no air support left, surely? And any previous bodies would have decomposed more.

Lol @ people trying to decipher plot points and 'whats going on' from a trailer that is nearly all static and jump-cuts
Good teaser, has me interested. Mainly Bale and the music that hooked me though.

Taken from an editing perspective, it's a logical arrangement of the pieces we've seen (and, since they've only started shooting relatively recently, it would make sense that the majority of the footage they have available to use in the trailer only comes from 2 or 3 sequences at most).

It's like robo-Skeletor. Should be entertaining as hell.
According to IMDB, this guy is playing the T-800. He played Arnold in See Arnold Run, and funnily enough, was Mr. Austria.
Maybe Nick Nolte could join the new Terminator trilogy, so it could be called..."Terminator: Extreme Prejudice."

His last name is Kickinger, and is an Arnold clone? Acceptable.

If Dr. Henry Killinger were to show up somewhere in this film too, I think I could probably live with that.
The "Black Magic Murder-Bag" versus killer cyborgs from the future?
Epic Win.

There's a new article up which suggests that the film still might end up with an "R"-rating, as well as stating that James Cameron "had a hand in the film," as well planting the insinuation that Arnold might cameo somewhere in the flick.
Then again, this could simply be a cheeky reference to the Kickinger T-800 model being in the movie.
