Thought Episode 10, Sound and Fury was the best one yet. Soundwave looks great, nice little origin story for him as well. We also breifly saw Kremzeek!!!!!! From season 2 of the original series. Total Awesomeness!!!! Soundwave Superior, Blaster Inferior.

I really, really liked what they did with Elita-1 and Black Arachnia, that's probably the best new thing this series has introduced, conceptually.
And Soundwave was pretty good- I also really enjoyed his back story and the new twist on his minions with his ability to control other bots, though I felt his design was a little weak, mostly in the head & face, though his final form wasn't too bad. And that he ended up as a tape deck-sized device was a nice touch. They could have done better with the voice though- it lacked the edge of the original, and he was a bit hard to understand at times- think they added too much echo to the reverb or whatever you call it.
And yeah, the Kremzeek cameo was a fantastic easter egg nod to the fans!

I was pleasantly surprised to see they tackled the Headmaster concept this early. It also seems like they're hinting at the Constructicons/Devastator at some point, since we've seen the purple/green construction vehicles a few times already.

Loved the first part of Megatron Rising- I really like how everything is coming together so well. This is easily the best plotted season of TF since Beast Wars Season 3 or even Season 1 of G1.

Yeah, it takes a few episodes to get rolling, and there's 2 or 3 "supervillain of the week" type episodes spread around, but overall, it adds up pretty well.

n addition to the Constructicon news, the IESB has just been given the following human character/casting breakdowns -
[CHUCK] 19-25 yrs., Sam's roommate at Princeton. He runs a conspiracy theory website. Funny in an irreverent, edgy way, he is shocked to see his conspiracy theories come to life. (2nd Lead)
[U.S. MILITARY LEADER] Late 20s/early 30s, African American with a great sense of humor and a tough military presence. (Supporting lead)
[UK SPECIAL FORCES LEADER] British, in his early to mid 30s, smart and capable. Can be Caucasian, Black, East Indian. (Supporting lead)
[GALLOWAY] Early 40s-early 50s, male, National Security Advisor and presidential liaison. A curt man who is tightly wound. (Supporting Lead)
[PROFESSOR COLAN] 40s, Sam's physics professor at Princeton. He's a self-satisfied intellectual who compares himself to Einstein, and is arrogant enough to wear leather pants to look cool. (1 Scene)

[FBI DIRECTOR] Mid 50s, male, giving a press release assuring the public they will be safe against attacks. (1 speech/scene)
[CNN REPORTER] Reporting on missile strikes and bombings in various cities. Submit male / female, all ethnicities (1 speech)
**On a related note, there is a rumor circulating on the Don Murphy message boards that Natassia Malthe has been cast aleady in Transformers 2, but we haven't not gotten any confirmation on that tidbit, so that's pure speculation at this point.
We have reached out to Paramount Pictures as well as to different members of the production company to confirm the above story, but they have not yet responded to our requests.

I actually like the potential of the roomate character, sounds like that could be an amusing role- though I'm surprised they didn't just keep Sam's tree-climbing friend and develop him as a conspiracy nut on the side.
Also, watched the conclusion to TFA, "Megatron Rising" last night- great stuff. The Ark is now crashed into the side of a volcano!  It was also funny, as Megatron was transforming I was thinking "so they're gonna make him a jet like in the movie or something... as much as an airborne vehicle makes sense for Megatron since they were usually depicted as being the ones that could fly, Megatron always made more sense as a tank or some kind of big gun- it's a shame they can't just make him a flying tank (ala Blitzwing) or just a flying gun.." and then he finishes transforming into...a giant flying gun/copter. nice!

Oy, spoilers for TFTM2! Sorry but I must avoid the thread in the future cause I want to see no spoilers, I don't care how minor. 
Love the way the Animated Series is shaping up with Jazz's introduction a couple weeks back. "Watch my five servo's of death technique", cool line! See ya after TFTM2 opens up.

So, the first issue of IDW's Reign of Starscream, their movie sequel, came out today- most of it is retelling the prequel and movie events from Starscream's POV (a heavy focus on poitning out the flaws in Megatron's tactics and how "We didn't fail you. You failed us."), but it does fill in a few holes as well as going beyond the events of the movie:
-Barricade's dissapearing act is explained by Ironhide, in truck form, pushing Barricade into a head-on collision with a freeway pillar, just before/as Prime and Bonecrusher go at it. After the city battle, Starscream finds him repairing himself- specifying Barricade should now refer to Starscream as LORD Starscream.
-Starscream took down all the fighter jets pursuing him.
-After recovering Barricade, Starscream returns to fight jis way back into the Hoover Dam facility in an attempt to recover Frenzy's remains and all the data Frenzy had on the humans and the Allspark.

Here is the latest set report for the new Transformers 2 movie, with production details and new set photos:
From a source that wishes to remain un-identified comes the below pictures that show preparation to transform the site into part of a Chinese city. In addition to the pictures, the person provided some details about the shoot that will take place in the first week of June.
- The east side of the site is being re-developed so most of the shooting will take place on the west side.
- A new concept car (possible Transformer?) not used in the first movie will be used there
- Two Blackhawk helicopters will be used
- The area will be patrolled by the site security and Bethlehem City Police who will also and close streets for the shoot.
For the pictures, some just show what the site looks like from a street level and how it might be useful to appear as a city. You can also see that Chinese name has been added to the top of one building and painted on the street in another.
