Yeah, but Prime has never been owned the same way he was by Megatron. Prime should have gotten some serious hits in before Sam used the All Spark.

Well, one blow of Prime's that I remember really well was when Megatron had taken out his big arm gun. He was about to fire a shot at Sam, and Prime got toff this great shot that just spun Megatron around. I think that that's the kind of way I like to think about Prime's fighting style. He fights best when he's protecting someone or something.

Looks like it'll be a long wait for the sequel since according to the Amph thread on the strike, it's one of the scripts that was not started/done before the strike.

I always got the feeling that Prime holds back whenever he fought Megatron, but when there's that extra level of threat to a specific individual or group, he lets loose and can actually overpower Megatron.

Well, I think the obvious reason why he holds back is because Megatron is his brother, right? I mean, would you attack your brother with all your might, hoping to destroy him forever?
That's why even though Megatron was pure evil, Prime went "No, Sam!" when Sam pushed the Allspark into Megatron's chest. He didn't think Megatron deserved to die.

Even outside the context of the movie where they're not brothers, Prime always has that base "If I can find a way NOT to kill him and stillo win, I will" instinct that takes the threatening of someone else's life/spark other than his own to really cross that mental line.
It's why it took till the animated movie, where the Autobots were in a bad position, the fate of all the autobots had worked towards for the past 20 years in jeopardy of being eradictated, and the dozens of lives (most of them close friends) at risk, for Prime to call an end to it. "Megatron must be stopped- no matter the cost." It's why he clearer spelled it out to Megatron in that fight- "One shall stand, one shall fall."; in other words: "I will kill you today."

WTF was that line about anyway? I was hoping it was a metaphorical brother. Are they actually trying to say that Prime and Megatron are brothers? If so, did the writers actually pay any attention to the original cartoons & comix?

So long as we get a sequel I'm ready and willing to wait as long as necessary. At least we'll have the new cartoon next year to tide us over for a little while at least(no matter how bad it might be).

It's a different continuity from G1. Like the Unicron Trilogy, Robots In Disguise, etc.
I saw Prime get in some good hits here and there in the background shots. *Sigh*
Also, I now own an Autobot's Matrix statue, MP Megatron and MP Skywarp.

I think they might be worrying too much over nothing. It's already hard enough to separate movie facts from rumors in today's digital age.
