I agree. It looks really good and since a like the first film I'll definitely check this one out as well.

Rich, luxurious, epic, a little deeper and darker in tone than the first film... this is the heir to the fantasy throne established by the LOTR films, IMO.

Well, the first film had its weaknesses, no argument there. But it was only the first step in a very epic direction, and also the first live-action film by the director, who had previously only worked with CGI animation. From the trailer, it feels like the filmmakers have learned their lessons and are proceeding with a richer, more interesting show this time around.

They've improved with the centaurs, I heard, which is good as one is a secondary character.

The centaurs were done very well in the first film. I can't wait to see what they've done with them this time around.

Saw the trailer at The Golden Compass. I didn't particularly enjoy the first one (and I haven't read any of the books) but I think I'm going to see this. the trailer was REALLY good.

I can't wait. I honestly loved the first film, and have been waiting for this since then. I do hope they film at least five of the books. But they are all good, and should be done.

Good point there, considering these stories are fifty years old. thinking

Hey, I met people seeing LotR:Fellowship who didn't know the ending, or even that it was pt one of a trilogy. Someone in another row piped up with "I can't wait to see Gollum bite off Frodo's finger," which struck me as silly since they were invisible and the people looks up shocked.

I was surprised with how well the first movie turned out--much better than the LotR series (which were just too over-the-top stylized for me). Hope the second can keep up the mommentum.

I was always amazed at how well the centaurs were done in Hercules and Xena. Seems like a simple idea, but in practice, not so much.

Probably not the smartest idea to judge how awesome a film will be by its trailer. I'm rather cautious.
