I finally read the series after seeing LWW. The ending of The Last Battle left a really bad taste in my mouth for Narnia. As much as this film looks pretty cool and I'll see it...I've just got such a negative vibe off anything Narnia I can't get excited yet.
Hopefully the film will transcend that.

how odd. perhaps im psychic. i read the books aages ago but i instinctively stopped reading after the Silver Chair. is the Last Battle really that bad. i always meant to go back and read it.

No, The Last Battle is not really that bad. It's my second favorite in the series. Yes it is a lot darker then the rest of the series but it kind of needed to be. I know a lot of people don't like it because C.S Lewis wrote it (like LWW and TMN before it) to mirror the Bible and Christian beliefs. LWW revolved around Jesus dieing for our sins so that we could have eternal life, TMN mirrors the Creation of the world and the Garden of Eden, and TLB tells the story about the end of the world and life in Heaven for those who believe. I have no problem with it whatsoever.

In regards to the order of filming, they are going to making all seven books into films and - I believe - in the order of one through to seven. Which is a good thing, mind you, as that is the order they are best read in and naturally, best shown in.

I agree with what has been said about the trailers, they are top notch. As for the poster...I sense a Prince Caspian banner soon...
