some people are getting so upset over what Barnes looks like, but frankly, since the film isn't released, no one should get uptight.

A lot of my friends are all like 'in the book Lewis wrote him as a 13-15 year old blond kid!!....Ben Barnes is horrible!!.....his accent sucks!!....blah blah blah!.....' yeah it gets on my nerves. I think Ben is the perfect Caspian, I'm fine with him.

i think everyone should wait to gripe until after the film's been released. that'd save me a big headache.

The Telmarines are descended from Spanish explorers that got stuck in Narnia. So having Caspian with a hint of a Spanish accent is acceptable.
And the reason they cast someone as old as Barnes was so that they could also use him in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader rather than having to recast the part.

That's exactly what I'm trying to tell them but they just won't listen.

oh no kidding! I've told a bunch of people, "Look, all we're seeing or hearing are bits and pieces of a WHOLE. We don't know how the story will exactly come together and we may not know all the reasons behind some of the decisions made by the producers\directors, etc... so GET OVER IT! If you are so worried, then don't see it. But wait until you know the FULL story before you go around griping and whining." yeah, I may not like some of the changes the filmmakers add\take to\from the film\story, but I can't do anything about it, and if I don't want to see it, then I won't. But I do want to see it because I want to know how THEY see the story. I'm not griping constantly about one little thing that I can't control and I haven't even really seen yet! I absolutely HATE it when people gripe about something like this that 1. they can't control, 2. it's been done already, and 3. changes MUST be made.
someone said it'd be better if they stuck to the story word for word, page for page, etc... I said, "how boring is that? We know everything that's going to happen." having new or different plotlines thrown into the mix makes it interesting and exciting and different. we dont' know what's going to happen so it makes us eager to see what is around the corner.

Hope that they make movies for all seven books--though they probably won't. They ought to hurry to put out VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER before the actors who play Lucy and Edmund are too old. Not to mention that if they make THE LAST BATTLE (very improbable) they would probably want a youngish looking Peter, too.

Well, I had thought Disney bought the entire Narnia project, but news is that they might pull out after VotDT. That is unless PC get top box office or something.
So in other words, go see PC many times. And bring your friends.

Last I read, Disney had the release schedule worked out for all six of the remaining films, including The Last Battle, into the 'teens (as in 2015, etc.). As long as the movies continue to do well at the box office, the studio has every reason in the world to keep making these babies until the series is done. How they plan on handling the problem of the aging child actors is anyone's guess; perhaps they'll film the necessary scenes now, in advance of actual production on the later films (though that would entail writing the scripts, as well, which I understand has not been done). Or perhaps it will be a matter of CGIing the familiar children's faces onto other, similar-looking and sounding actors....

Or maybe they'll just have the kids age naturally, ignoring Lewis' timeline that only a few years pass between TLTWATW and TLB.

Its not a problem. Peter and Susan disappear from the story after Prince Caspian and Edmund and Lucy disappear from the story afte Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The Pevensies don't appear again until The Last Battle, and even then, not until close to the end of the book.
EDIT: If they are really true to the books, this will be be Anna Popplewell's last Narnia film. Susan denies that Narnia ever existed and as a result Aslan makes it impossible for her to ever return.
