Well the media and fans have been burned by fanmade material on The Dark Knight several times already. So pardon me if I am a little skeptical.

It's not a bad poster; its just dark as hell. Would've made at least Bats a little brighter to see him.

I still think the costume is too chunky and busy, with weird little lines and unnecessary breaks in the visual flow... but *meh* I'll probably get used to it over time.
Count me as one who thinks that poster is fan-made. It doesn't look professional at all to my eye.

It could happen. Mainstream audiences can adapt to things that they don't know about. Look at Batman himself. Most everyone knew Batman as the campy, Adam West character. "Batman" 1989 changed all of that.

Fan-made. That's the same image of Bats on top of that police car.

Yep, that looks like the same pic, just darkened.
"I don't see a Nightwing film happening. The mainstream public still sees Dick Grayson as Robin"
I could see it happening eventually.
"It could happen. Mainstream audiences can adapt to things that they don't know about. Look at Batman himself. Most everyone knew Batman as the campy, Adam West character. "Batman" 1989 changed all of that."
Yeah but the other side of that coin is Catwoman. Classic example of "Hollywood" taking way too many liberties with a character. I kinda feel like they'd end up doin' the same thing with Nightwing, simply because he's lesser known among the general public.

I am sure that the movie will be good enough to make up for the suit's flaws, but I agree that the suit is so busy that it's almost turned Batman into Robocop.

FirstShowing.Net - Aaron Eckhart Confirms Two-Face and Two Performances in Dark Knight
Very intriguing. Particulary this: "Nolan shot complementary takes of Eckhart in Two-Face makeup so he could visually represent the duality of Dent in a less cartoony fashion." What that means, in essence, is that "he's a fifty-fifty split of the same actor giving two wildly divergent performances in the same shot. And because he has two takes of each scene, Nolan has the luxury of shaping Eckhart's performance in post."

Quite an odd statement since they generally shoot enough coverage that they can do that even without the sense of character duality. I understand what they are trying to say, but as an editor I kind of have to snicker at the "ZOMG!" quality of the statement.

It all depends on who is making said picture. When Tim Burton was involved it was going to be a natural extention of "Batman Returns". But once he left the project, it went into the crapper. If someone were to put the same kind of care into Nightwing that there is with the current Batman films, with respect to the characters, then it'll work.

Hmmm, that sounds pretty interesting, I'm excited to see how it will look in the finished project.

I'm getting lost int he poor grammar and vague sentence construction in the above quotes. Does this mean that Two-Face is only scarred pshychologically, and that shots of him in make-up will be interspersed with "clean" shots so as to effect the idea that he only looks like a monster in his own mind? If not, then exactly what are the above quotes talking about?

Although, I never heard of Burton being involved with a Catwoman spinoff, I do whole-heartedly agree that with the right person at the helm, any flick can be great.
See, Sin, we can agree on somethings...
