I can handle 165. Anything more than that is pushing it, IMO.

Batman Begins was a 140? Wow. It didn't seem that long to me. So I could probably live with 165.

I don't think I realized Begins was quite that long either. With the way the movie is shaping up, I'm fine with a runtime of 165.

Two hours and forty-five minutes of Batman-v.-Joker awesomeness sound just right to me!

In regards to Bruce's public persona, it was stated in "Year One", that he was a party going guy who liked fast cars, fast women and fast drugs. That was how Bruce wanted to portray his public persona. It was only after a time that he altered his persona, around the time Dick Grayson came into his life, so that it would be acceptable for him to be raising a 12 year old boy.

^ ^ That's a good point. Year One reset the characters and settings in some ways, and that was one of them. Since this particular point -- about Bruce being a boozy lothario -- had changed with the arrival of Grayson, which was still in the past in terms of the post-Crisis timeline, I had forgotten it. Thanks for reminding me. It looks like it's yet one more way in which Nolan's version is the prefect cinematic adaptation of the Batman milieu.

In fact, this was brought up again in Batman #675 this week, when Bruce is having dinner with his latest flame, Jezebel Jet.
I apologize for the scan size. I took these off of Newsarama, which for some reason, didn't blow them up properly. Anyway, Bruce's public persona reputation was refered to again. "Year One" and most of Legends Of The Dark Knight refer to this aspect. The zero issues from 1994 make a loose reference to this. Though they don't talk about the drugs, they do refer to Bruce's public persona. There was another issue, which I cannot recall off hand, which showed Bruce dumping out a class of champagne and replacing it with sparkling cider or water. Might've been in "Knightfall". The drug aspect was avoided in the main books, but being an absent minded and a bit of a lay about was used for a long stretch. Lucius Fox was one of the few who knew that Bruce was pretending for some reason, but made it a policy to avoid asking why. This is reflected in "Batman Begins" when you notice that he doesn't buy into Bruce's explainations for needing certain equipment and about the fear toxin antidote.
