I can wait a long time.
Mel Brooks has about 5 jokes, and be beats them to death.
Get Smart (the original series) was mildly entertaining, but Brooks was (if I remember correctly) only tangentially involved.
Police Squad was about the same, and while it did go on to be expanded in 3 Naked Gun movies, they were for the most part still flogging the same jokes over and over again.
An entire series of Space Balls has about as much appeal to me as watching dogs perform bodily needs, and I expect the same quailty.
Mel Brooks has nothing to do with Police Squad or The Naked Gun. That was the team of David Zucker, Jerry Zucker, and Jim Abrahams. The other parody kings.

In 1977 George Lucas created the Star Wars Trilogy and changed the way we look at movies. In 1999 George Lucas created the Prequel Trilogy and changed the way we look at Star Wars. Frasier, Lost, and Whose Line Is It Anyway? are the best tv shows ever.

True, but the same principle applies: Take a joke and beat it to death.

I was at Walmart today and there was an end cap of MGM DVDs for $4.00 and the 2-Disc Collectors Edition of Spaceballs was among them.
