If this doesn't get renewed, it will be what, the 3rd canceled US series starring a Brit in the lead in a year. Bionic Woman, Journeyman (which I loved), now this. Sad. At least Hugh Laurie's doing well.

By the way, is that Cromartie up in the upper left of this banner?

And I'm curious about that Latina that helped them out. She a terminator too?

OK fair enough, thanks for the responses.

RE: Or else...perhaps Cameron is trying to create a machine race that will be more sympathetic to humanity. She wants to grow and evolve, thanks to her learning chip - (Leto II)

I think you're right but I'm having a hard time taking it in. It seems to go against the very premise of Terminator (machines take over the world and try to annihilate the only threat to their existence). "It feels no pain, has no emotions and will stop at nothing to accomplish its mission". Its a just a machine with living tissue over metal. This isn't Bishop from Aliens or Data from Star Trek... its a wee Terminator. Oh well, I think I'm still stuck in 1984.

It was a good ending, though obviously was not meant to be the season finale, but rather the build-up to the home stretch of the season.

"Happy birthday, John" was a great scene (though it might have been a better surprise to the audience if we hadn't had the prologue with them playing).

The FBI attack was an ok scene- it worked, but I can't help but feel how much better it would have been without the Cash song and instead had used Terminator-sounding music. It could have been a really creepy sequence that way. The ironic clash of styles of the more upbeat song with the violence sorta negates that effect.

Also, does any know if there will be any continuity between this series and the upcoming Terminator 4 film with Christian Bale?

As Leto mentioned, there will be connections- I suspect we'll see Derek Reese in the future war, maybe a Cromartie or Cambot model unit at some point, or that Lt of John's we saw in the flashforwardback.

Since when did Johnny Cash become upbeat? tongue OK, I can see maybe "Get Rhythm" being out of place in this scene but when you hear "When the Man Comes Around" you know someone gonna die. It's a song about Judgment Day, after all.

Personally, I liked the use of the Cash song. It was plenty creepy in its own way.

I dunno, maybe because I'm just familair with Cash's work much at all, butwhile it wasn't really a "happy" song, it was up-tempo in that country music way.

I keep trying to give this show a shot, but I turned it on again and this time they were watching the memories of a married terminator, which made me want to vomit a little. I'll be so glad when T4 comes along and writes this show out of continuity. I don't know why they bothered to ignore T3, when T4 will most likely follow T3 and ignore this.

I'm not going to fault them for the show, as it seems to be making Fox a bit of money while completely blowing T3 out of the water. I came into it expecting a campy trash-fest to rival a T3 with low-budget graphics, but the show stuns and amazes with each episode. T4 has had failure written all over it from the start, and if they want to follow T3, then it's their own decision and their own fault. I'm going to go on blissfully ignoring both films while enjoying the show whenever it comes back on the air, while reminiscing about the good old days of Terminator and T2.

you think maybe just maybe John sent her back to not prevent judgemt day but to prolong it and make the terminators not so harmless. He wont survive without skynet and vice versa.

I've been thinking along the same lines, actually: that Cameron either becomes Skynet or is instrumental in its creation. If Judgment Day is inevitable, this way at least John has some degree of control over its course. And what better twist ending for a show whose characters are dedicated to preventing Judgment Day.

I like that. He can't stop Judgement Day, but he CAN control it, kind of.

Maybe Cameron does something that make it possible for future John to win.

I liked the "Cash" song, what'd U. want, Bobby Mcferrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy". As for the upcoming Christian Bale film...the latest Entertainment Weekly said--the project is back on following the writer's strike.

I would have preferred score, not a song. Maybe the Skynet theme gradually building in intensity or power as more and more bodies are added to the pool. Or maybe something like the intro to "I'll be back" from T2, just without the building heroic component.
