it was a helicopter crashing, but I couldn't tell if it was the one Lily was on her not- and the aforementioned lack of reaction seems to indicate it wasn't.

I've seen it three times in the theater, and have the link to a certain video.... it's a ground vehicle... not a helicopter. Helicopters don't have off road tires.

I saw it on Saturday here in the UK and it was Brilliant, I was blown away by the movie I like the beginning it settles you in and makes you sit back and relax then the **** hits the fan and then your off on a great ride, I’d like to see it again but time is an issue because the next three weekends here in the UK, National Treasure is out then Jumper and then Rambo so hopefully I might catch it after them.

Or maybe from when they're trying to cross the bridge. Doesn't he zoom in on the statue?

It's got a helicopter spotlighting it in that shot.

If Manhattan had been nuked. There would be no camera to find. Thus, no movie.

I don't think that's necessarily true. You'd be surprised what can survive, especially buried in concrete and brick rubble. Not saying it absolutely would, but it's not a given, either.

I'd still have to say it was probably something other than a nuke just because of real-life politics. Nuclear weapons are an Extremely Bad Thing, and if this was only happening in NY, the rest of the country would likely lose it's mind. A fuel-air or thermobaric weapon, though, will give you the same (or more) bang without 1) the radiation of a nuke or 2) the stigma of actually USING a nuke on your own soil.

Either way, you know NY is boned just based on the opening where it says the camera was found at the site FORMERLY known as Central Park. That just NEVER bodes well... wink

It can't have been a nuke, wouldn't the EMP pulse have fried the camera?
