True and true. However, ROTJ was 25 years ago, and Spielberg now has an elevated status beyond purely adventure and sci-fi. (Certainly he's helming Indy IV, but his next project is Lincoln, a prestige film far and away from the likes of Potter and SW.) And his contribution to ROTS was minimal, consisting solely of helping to plan the climactic Duel.
I don't pretend I can foretell the future, but I'm extremely skeptical about this rumor.
Spiderfan posted:

IIRC he was supposed to direct ROTJ, but couldn't because George had left the DGA and they wouldn't let Spielberg work for him. He also did some stuff for ROTS.

I would agree with that except for the fact that he's also collaborating with Peter Jackson on The Tintin Trilogy. Jackson will direct one film, Spielberg will direct another and I believe another director will direct the third. He clearly hasn't forgotten what kind of movie made him famous. He's still capable of making a gourmet popcorn movie if he wants to.

I'm holding out for Cauron myself. Not only because he handled PoA so well, but after seeing Children of Men, I get rather giddy imagining how he could possibly handle The Battle of Hogwarts as Harry is running through searching for the diadem

Yeah. I'm not a big fan of the way Azkaban was handled plot-wise, but the liquidation of Bexhill clearly demonstrated that Cuaron has an eye for cinematic combat and there's no denying that the Battle of Hogwarts has the potential to be VERY epic.

No Phlegm in HBP
Not that surprising though, considering that she only has couple of scenes and they're both at The Burrow before school starts.

She's in the hospital wing after Bill gets attacked by Greyback as well. I think it's odd that we haven't seen her since GoF and then all of a sudden we're going to be at her wedding in DH. But hey, they've run a pretty good track record at not explaining things at all *coughprioriincantatemandtheprophecycough*

Yeah, but IIRC, Bill doesn't appear in the GOF movie. Its possible that they've dropped the wedding subplot entirely, although that will mean that they'll have to come up with another way for Krum to tell Harry about Grindlewald's sign. I suppose he could write to Hermione, though. We know that they've traded letters on occaision.

Indeed. I wonder how else they would pull off the fall of the ministry. Kingsley's patronus arriving in the middle of the wedding reception and then utter chaos was crazy (and exactly what I had always hoped for in the seventh book). It'd be a shame to lose such a scene.

Yeah, I will be curious to see how they handle that one.

Not movie news, but here's a HBP fan made video featuring the Lego characters, while we pass the time.

Deathly Hallows News:
Lois Lowry's blog posted: Bad news from The Giver Movie front. David Yates, the director currently working on the next Harry Potter film, was supposed to begin The Giver film next. But he has just decided he wants to do the final Harry Potter first, thereby postponing The Giver by several years.

Potentially, only potentially. He's said that he wants to do it, but Warner Bros. hasn't said that he WILL do it.

As far as the whole wedding thing, it seems obvious to me that they would replace it with Lupin and Tonks wedding.
