I don't think the Gaunts are necessary for the movie version. The only Pensieve scenes I think we need to see are the ones directly involving the Horcruxes.

But the stories of the Horcruxes and the Gaunts are connected (Marvolo's ring). In any case, Voldemort's origin and biography are fascinating stuff, and I feel it would be something of a disservice to the series if we did not learn about his time with the Gaunts.

Well there was a report on MuggleNet about a 15 second teaser attached to the IMAX screenings of the Dark Knight.
Coming Soon has reported a tip they received from one of their visitors, who says there may be a 15-second promo for Half-Blood Prince coming with The Dark Knight in IMAX.
While this isn't official, it goes in line with IMAX rumors we told you about a couple weeks ago. We'll let you know when Warner Brothers makes an official announcement!

There was no trailer before the non-imax Dark Knight, so I'm assuming it really is gonna be the Mummy.

ComingSoon.net has the teaser trailer but there's no footage. You just hear Dumbledore saying "Once more I must ask too much of you Harry." and then the title followed by some text Select Sequences in IMAX 3D. I'd call this more of an announcement trailer than anything else.

Here's a pic from ComingSoon.net, where I'm guessing that Slughorn gives Harry the Felix Felicis potion.

For comingsoon.net images, you have to copy and paste the url into your address bar or it won't work.
As for the trailer... I'm rather disappointed. I was expecting little, but not this little. When I heard Dumbledore speaking, I thought it was gonna be a trailer like the Dark Knight teaser, with certain dialog as the logo was emerging, but alas. The line in this isn't even that good, honestly.
I dunno. I'm just disappointed in that teaser.

Warner Bros. confirmed today that the worldwide debut of the trailer for the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, will take place via satellite on Tuesday, July 29th, from 9:00 - 9:15pm EST.
Below are the coordinates to pick up the feed:
Galaxy 28, Transponder 19, C-Band Analog
Downlink Frequency: 4080V
Audio Configuration: 6.2/6.8
Since most of us don't have the proper equipment to catch the satellite feed, this likely means the trailer will be placed before The Mummy, which is in theaters the next day, July 30th.
