Director Chris Carter, producer Frank Spotnitz and actor David Duchovny recently held a production wrap press conference for the city of Vancouver where the trio have been stationed with a crew lensing this summer's new X-Files film. There, Duchovny explained this display of affection was staged for photographers (uh-huh) and Carter revealed the story picks up six years after the end of the long-running series.
"We're not doing an exercise in nostalgia to appeal to the fans of the show," Spotnitz, who also serves as co-writer, said. "We saw this as an opportunity to introduce the characters to people who may have been too young. It has a reason for being, even if there'd never been a television show before."
ShockTillYouDrop.com paid a visit to the secretive set, we'll have a full report as soon as Fox (not Mulder) gives us clearance to do so.

Cool i knew they were talking about it but if they leave it where Gillan Anderson and David Duchnovy are back Cool. To me X-Files ended when Gillian Anderson left the show. I didn't like it as well with the other guy as Mulder's partner.

I'd say the poster is fine. We went through this type of thing back in the 3SA days and we never had too many problems with spoiler pictures/posters (apart from hyperspace). If the website that is hosting it is forced to remove it, we will as well.

I can't wait until the movie comes out. I love the X-Files and I've been harrassing my local theater to do a midnight showing so I can dress up as Scully for the evening! I love the name of the movie as well, especially because I have Mulder's "I want to believe" poster *exact copy* hanging up on my wall in my room.

Ok...either that poster above is a fan work...or the studios are really slipping.
Duchovny's face is an obvious insert...and it's stretched a touch to make it work...and Anderson doesn't look right either.
I'm hesitant to buy that as official.
It looks like from the photos Gillian got some work done post shooting. Tragic.
