Actually the film was exploring the use of "nothing" to create something, namely atmosphere. Its a Hitchcockian approach to use the power of suggestion to create fear. Its not the Bang you fear but the anticipation of the bang. I applaud the film for its use suggestion and its minimalist nature to create a story I thought was riveting.

Yes there was "nothing" there...that was the intention.

I would never dream of insulting the memmory of Hitchcock by comparing the excrement that is BWP to his body of work. Hicthcock was an artist. He created something and even the early versions of his films had style, class, and technique (even if some were a little slow). BWP did not create suspence from nothing. It created nausea from nothing. At best, the film may have helped dramamine and other anti-motionsickness medication sales. I don't need a bang, per se, but I do require that the movie have a point to it.

I would debate further the points but its clear that you have made up your mind and won't even consider other possibilities. Because you can't see the point, does not mean the point isn't there.

If you found something you liked in the movie, more power to you. I didn't. Life is like that.
Anyway, I think we've hijacked this discussion enough. Be happy to continue via PMs if you like.

I'd vote for Rambo if I was certain that Stalone would be killed definatively, with no progeny, no adopted children, no friends to take up the cause, and no other possibility of another sequel. He's dead. It's over. Life moves on.
That is a movie I'd like to see.
Look at it this way: The Vietnam war ended in 1975. Even if he was only in the last year (highly unlikely), Rambo would have been born in by 1957, which would make him 50+ years old. Now, if her was involved in the middle of the war (most likely), he'd be pushing 70--well past the "action hero" age limit.

Face it, the last movie I can think of which "killed" Stalone was Deathrace 2000, and it was pretty bloody funny. (Not to mention satisfying)

I think Stallone just needs to retire to a nursing home somewhere...but if he's doing another Rambo...I gotta see it...just for the terrible one-liners!

Didn't even see Rocky Balboa...hate Rocky movies...LOVE RAMBO! Even if he's clubbing people with a walker...

I think I'm more excited for Fanboys right now then either of these. That might change however after I've seen the new Cloverfield trailer that's supposed to be in front of Beowulf. If I had to rank them in terms of my anticipation, from most to least, it'd probably be:

Fanboys
Cloverfield
Rambo
