They will start running the seven new episoids on Tuesdays 10PM startingFeb 12th..

I watched all the episodes online because I had nothing better to do. So depending I might give it a shot. I am betting that for some reason they had already had the scripts lying around and with nothing else on they figured they might as well make them.

I really like Jericho and I will definitely check out the new episodes. Hopefully it will result in further episodes ahead.

Incorrect on that very last part -- they got a last-second renewal from CBS (despite ratings that equaled or surpassed a good-sized chunk of NBC's "Must-See" primetime programming), albeit a limited one for seven episodes, due to the network already having spent its Fall '07 series-funding allocations.
Additionally, the seven episodes were already completed and in the can before the whole WGA strike even started; they were largely anticipating it.
CBS has admitted it made a major-league ****-up by not renewing the series immediately...particularly when so many of their hyped-to-the-moon "prestige" fall shows (Viva Laughlin, Kid Nation, et al) utterly stunk, and have already tanked.
Holding back the new season is going to help immensely during a time when there'll be very few new scripted dramatic series on the air; CBS recently said that it wants to take a month and just blitz Jericho's advertising to build word-of-mouth before the premiere. If Season 2 does well (which they're expecting), they're already committed to ordering a full, 22-episode Season 3 for the coming fall.

Don't forget the TONS of nuts that we sent to the CBS executives, telling them to reinstate the show.
I cannot wait to see the show progress. One of the best underrated dramas on TV (along with BSG).

Feb 12th eh? Wonder if it fails (again) in the US they'll pick it here over the pond - it has had much higher ratings. Anyhow can't wait for this to return.
