Wow when did this no longer become a sticky. Anyway, I have a glass problem. I created my glass shape and added all the adjustments to the mesh to reflect and be transparent like glass. When I turned the stars on, I couldn't see them reflected or through the glass. Why is that? Did I forget to turn something on or off?
Could you post the blend file, at least the glass. I can at least open it and see what is what. Worst case senario, you could always render a picture of just stars, but like alot bigger than the frame, and attach it to a plane as a matte.

I just switched from Electric Image to Blender and I have been making good progress but I have a problem, whenever I render something, I have no idea where blender puts it. How do I find where my rendered movie was put? I am using a G4 Powerbook running Tiger.

I use the windows version of blender. In windows, it is C://TMP. Here is how to tell where it saves a render:

Make one the windows the buttons menu
Then hit f10 for rendersettings(if you dont know where render settings are)
On the far left, their should be an output box
on the top panel under output(it should say tmp), select the folder
browse for the directory for where you want to save it in the top box
in the bottom box you can select what you want to name it

Hope that helps

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro/Making_Fire Go here and it will teach you to make fire. I recommend that you put lights spherically around it to illuminate the object to be a sun.

I would create a moving water enviroment, then add the fire effect to it, using particles. then you would also need to have the water move in a directional path. maybe be able to use the physics with it or have it follow a path. Just experiment!

have a slim body of water, use a bone system because of the flexibility, and then use a path for the water to follow. add an enviroment to it to make it look realistic. create a cliff and have the water follow a repeating path like a conveyor belt that repeats in a circle like motion in a square or rectangle motion.

you can do one of two things. get the official blender 2.0 guide or google search for blender tutorial on making glass.

When in edit mode with the Tab button, you use the right mouse button to select one and hold shift to select more than one at a time.

I need help. I'm trying to rotoscope lightsabers on video but how do I use the composite nodes to make the lightsaber glow? It's so confusing!

Why are you asking this question in Blender help? Isn't that more of an After Effects/Photoshopping issue?

Good thing I read this. Here is my tutorial for rotoscoping a PICTURE with Blender. I didnt make the rotoscoping video yet, but I probably should do that sometime.

I'm wondering how to make a realistic spaceship fly to earth, I have my earth and stars and space and what not, but I'm clueless as to how to make a ship, and as to how to make it move. Any help would be nice.

This is roughly what my earth space looks like:
