Hi!
I'm making a scene for my friends SW RPG that takes place aaaages ago (like 5k years) before new hope, in the times of exar kun. Right now i've already done a Sith Fighter, and am working on the Capital Ship...

Now, my biggest concern is the surfaces of the ship. I want to make the outer armour look like a Star Destroyer. I'm not really sure how to do it, but what i am sure of is that i don't want it only to be a texture. Does anyone have any ideas or tips?

Cousken, if I were you I would go for a slightly more Lord Rive/Duality Look.

DarthRicmu, i took a look at you work and i really don't see what you mean. Besides i already mentioned that i don't want the plating to be texture only.
Lord Rive/Duality? Would you be as kind as to explain, or maybe post some referance links/pictures?

hey.. WOW, that looks really great. Don't kno why but all of a sudden, ppl are making abunch of ships and models that are from the old republic...or Exar Kun period

I have and it is pretty good, indeed, one of the best i've seen, maybe even the best one after Troops.
Anyway, i don't want the fighter to resamble the one from the movie. It's too Tie Fighter ish, and even if the starship does look like a Star Destoryer, i don't want that kind of fighter. It's mostly been inspired by the Sith Trooper armour from Kotor, wich is shiny like that...
On the other hand i've had really lite time to work becuase of Uni, but my situation is improving and i hope to be done before christmas.

I was thinking of having this type of surface on the hull... it dosn't look good yet and i don't really know how to make it look good, but i'll work on it...
any tips?
