Hello. I am trying to make a animated battle of the heroes. And, with little resources on Sci-fi 3d for this, I have to create my own model. This 3ds file is 300 some kb, but is a big model opened up. It can be reached at [link=http://www.savefile.com/files/4565362 ][/link] Please tell me what you think.
Edit:
The colors are not permanent. It was just to distinguish beween different parts of the model. It is very hard to see gray on gray and edit it.

Because of the size of the model, here is the best picture I could take. Between the claw w/ walkway and the other catwalk, there are pipes where Obi-wan and Anakin fight on.

Thanks Pixel Magic. I released a 3ds file for better viewing. When viewing you migh have to resize the view. This 3ds file is 300 some kb, but is a big model opened up. Why have you repeated your original message?

You model has a good basic shape, but no detail yet. I'd say get started on that now.

Thanks for the feedback, morpher. This is the model where I need that Obi-wan and Anakin. Lightsaber not needed. I have them and can look at them and make good models. Also, I need help with the two confrence rooms. I also need pretthy clear pictures from the game or the movie that I can model after.

Thanks Sci-fi3d zoo for unlocking this.

I have restarted this model in blender as a test and for sentimental reasons(this was also the first model I made in anim8or to learn modelling.) Please tell me what you think. I also included a quicktime movie file which does a camera turn around on the model. I know about the texture stretching, I am new to moddelling in blender, I made what you see in a few hours.

Not thinking about textures too much at this point. I think you should check out other versions of this model and bump up the detailing more. More beveling, etc.

alright, thanks. I have added some to the claw, but am currently working on the balcony. I will hopefully be posting an update soon, after I record episode 7 of my podcast.

if u know how to chamfer i would suggest that. It improves the look a lot if u chamfer those sharp edges slightly(not too much). Chamfer is along extrude bevel options.

alright. I have added some to the model, but I havent touched up the claw yet. I havent tried chamfer yet, but I will try it. What I really need is a good reference. I am on my computer, which cant play DVD's, and my laptop(which can) is fried.

Getting there. Still not enough detail from what I can see. It was hard to see the arm but it didn't look as though the textures were right.

I can't help you with referances, sorry.

And please compress that video, or if not, just post pictures.

there is a nice set on scifi3d for download in three formats, one of wich is blender i think
