Gungan Energy Shields ?

Hi guys !
Long time since i posted here  been a little busy with everything but 3d sci-fi But now i need your help... again :P
I need to know how to animate a the energy shields the Gungans use in Episode II, its not the big ones, its the small hand-held ones.
I have pretty much experiense when it comes to animating and speciel effects. im using the Adobe Suite and 3D Studio Max. Its for a school projekt - im studying at the official animating school in denmark.

Well, it was Episode I, the Gungans didn't have a significant purpose in Episode II.
Just have some faces for where the energy field should be, then add some diffuse and opacity maps and that should pretty much be it. Not that hard. Unless you want to have stuff hit the shield with it reacting.
