not this time, no.
fortunately, at 6ft 2", when I do opt for the helmet, i don't look quite so much of a ****.
going back to the May the Fourth parties of last decade, there are still photos somewhere of Vader-me and Maul-shona (a kung fu girl I know who got her head shaved into spikes specially) having a major whacking battle with kendo sticks on the Clyde footbridge at midnight, all lit up lovely with the bridge footlights.... then getting arrested by the police who'd been called out to investigate the disturbance.
Got a laugh from the polis as they were nicking us, of course.
after we were cautioned and told to get off the streets, we went to The Garage niteclub, got substantially drunker, then accidentally won £100 in its fancy dress contest.
I lost count of the number of lovely young laydeez who actually wanted me to playfully throttle them that night......

its the only day of the summer anyone in Glasgow is legally allowed to drink alcohol outdoors.
THAT is how the crowd was.
