I love the Edinburgh Festival SO much. I went every summer for about 5 years straight. That's a wonderful time to be in Edinburgh. Of course, I've also been in Edinburgh in the dead of winter, so really anytime is a great time to be in Edinburgh! hehe

Thats the edinburgh urban myth, nearly every taxi driver claims to have had a "certain type of tourist" say this in his taxi.
I like festival when you are able to be part of it, if your walking to work, or trying to go anywhere it can be annoying.
NO I DONT WANT A ******* FLYER
But coz my GF works in the castle I got to see the tatoo for free, which was good, not as loud as I thought it would be but good.
I met the temp who had covered our receptionists holidays, and she was gave me free tickets for this show.
It was amazing we didnt really know what it was about just that it usually costs £25 a ticket, and it was great.
Thats the best thing about the festival, going to some random thing and being suprised, not always for the best but never mind.

You know I was watching a program on Windsor Castle here and Phillip was saying how they have tourists asking why they built the castle near to the airport.
I think it is the same type of tourist
