Costuming Day--March 9th
This is a day for all of us that want to plan, design, or work on costumes, or if you just want free food and to hang out with the rest of the group.
Location:
Burien Library
14700 Sixth Avenue SW
Burien, WA 98166
The large meeting room across from the library foyer; opposite from the actual library part of the building.
Time:
Noon to 4 pm officially. If no one else reserves the room for the rest of the day and we want to stay longer, I can get an extension until 6pm.
Bring everything you need to make your costume: patterns, thread, scissors, fabric, pins, etc. I have extras of some items and will bring them along too, just in case. Also, if you have a sewing machine, please bring it along if you can.
And remember, free food.

The problem with owning a pet Bantha is that they always get into the Cheetos. I hate having to clean Cheeto goober off the bantha's face. And they beg at the table.

That's a Friday and my birthday.
You're having a work day on a Friday.
Cool with me (I don't have a job exactly), just seemed odd.

I took the 9th off as my belated birthday holiday. The sewing machine is ready to go!
Prop day would be awesome too... I really need to get started on that belt.
MicDavis, if you are going to be there on the 9th, could you bring the belt plans you have?

Ok, not to sound cranky or anything, but I was told the second Saturday, the 10th, was our day. I took only that day off, and now we aren't even having a meeting. At my job, they make the schedule 3 weeks ahead, and if I'm told one day and ask for it off, that's the only day I get. I feel guilty enough asking for a weekend day off, and now I can't even participate. Please, can we pick a day and use that one? If Saturdays don't work, then we need to not pick them at all.
Edit: I also can't make the 17th as the work schedule is already done.

RE: Costuming Day--March 9th
That is my fault. We had the costume day planned for a while but I didn't want to start the thread until the location was confirmed. And since we are having this, I didn't think we would need the meeting day. I am okay keeping the meeting day on the 10th in addition to the costuming thing though. The library isn't available but we can do a Starbucks or something.

I'd be happy to host a meeting on Saturday at my workshop. Maybe we can start something up. I have something in mind.

I'll try to request the 10th off too, but they're probably not going to be happy since I got the 9th off already
unless the meeting is after 6pm
I'll ask the magical Liopleurodon ...
