Hey guyz,
I had fun yesterday at CosFest, really enjoyed myself, despite the pressures and uncertainties... but in the end, everything turned out pretty well, didn't it? 
We were on TV too! Whoo-hoo!! 
The terraces were fun... and I really hope that everyone enjoyed themselves staying overnight... we can look forward to more of the same come September when we have another overnight get-together.
BTW, when is the September holidays for those who are still in school?
Juz asking...
And before I forget... a BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone who was there yesterday, whether you stayed overnight or not, your presence was much appreciated!
Also, SPECIAL THANKS to the guyz who helped to make all this possible...
- GetzJedi and CoolVirus... thanx for booking the terraces for us.
- Darth_Eagle... who drew us into this event in the first place.
- Crovus, Faiz, Mercurio, Yazid, Jedi_Healer, JediClare, and Xeno... without them, no performance, no TV appearance, enough said
- And to everyone who contributed, whether it's as minders, to jaga bags, to put together extremely last minute costumes, to settle last minute details for the performance, or to provide food and drinks for the terraces and so on... HUGE THANX!!

*gasp* We were on TV?? Really..when?!
LOL yep I had fun too, other than the part when a careless Jedi *coughFaizcough* tripped and fell on me and squashed my right lung! And then the supposedly dead Mandalorian started having a coughing fit!  LOL but I'm fine now. =P
Too bad I'd to leave early though... Anyway, when will the videos be out? I wanna watch them again.
Oh and btw, did anyone happen to lose 6 Panasonic batteries? Found them in my Adidas carry bag.. *shrug*

I believe the 6 batteries may be from Yazid's lightsaber... I got him new batteries just before we started the final rehearsal.
BTW, Jedi_Healer... thanks for your amazing professionalism!
It was pretty unbelievable that you managed to just cough and not like completely freak out and throw a huge fit or let out a loud bloodcurdling scream onstage when some Jedi Master landed like *ouch* smack right on top of you! yikes! 
So kudos to you for that!

I heard that check-out time for the terraces was something like 9.45am, but I woke up at 6.00am to go home and some people were still awake!
So I reckon those guyz may still be unconscious as we speak... while I'm having to keep my eyes open with toothpicks at work right now!
Juz kidding... actually, thanks to someone's TLC, I'm doin' just fine
Yoda, on the other hand, talked a little too much last nite, and is presently resting soundly at home in my living room, right next to Gizmo

SUE! I'M SO SORRY! OMG! i didnt realise your 'body' was directly behind me when the time came for the saber lock break to occur, and mike's kick was supposed to send me flying! it was like, i was about to take a few steps back before i throw myself backwards on the floor, but before i could make those few steps, i seemed to have tripped over something prematurely, and fell on that something. when i finally realised it was u that i fell on i was in absolute horror!!!!! u dunno wat i went thru in those few minutes! i wanted to say sorry, but my mic was still on! i was hoping u'd move to show ur in pain, but u didnt! and i didnt noe whether it was because u were being really professional about it, or my fall knocked u out! i was mentally sending out 'sorries' to u, and was late in knocking mike away before the final 2 on 1 fight! u should see it on video, it looked almost as bad as when yoda sent palpatine that force push that made him trip over a chair.
i was so relieved when at the end before the bow, u stood up. u were alright! well at least u werent knocked out or anything. and i thought i bruised your face or something, but it might have been the lighting later on..
omg sue, i'm really so sorry, i am in debt to u. a favour. anything u ask of, i will do it if its within my abilities... T_T
and about our little part on tv!
me and my gf were casually watching the 9.30pm news on chan5, waiting for the others to come back to the chalet from dinner, when they were showcasing and talking about cosfest 2005. so as the others slowly poured back in, i called them to just, u noe, take a look. then they quickly showed random cosplayers posing for photoshoots... AND THEN SUDDENLY AT THE END THEY SHOWED THE SABER LOCK SCENE WHERE YAZID COMES IN and my tripping on sue. luckily it was zoomed it in such a way that they were focusing on mike and yazid after that, so couldnt really see wat i fell on, cept maybe your legs going up a bit, cant remember. a 5-10sec clip! SHOWN AT THE END OF THE WHOLE COSFEST SEGMENT OF WHICH OURS WAS THE LONGEST OMG. oh and for the curious ones, they onli showed up to the point before yazid gets knocked on the ground. A SEGMENT OF A SKIT THAT CROVUS PRODUCED AND DIRECTED AND OF WHICH THE LIGHTSABER SCENE WHICH I CHEOGRAPHED WITH HELP FROM MIKE AND DAVID OMG. i had 2 homeruns man. 1. to be on tv for a few secs 2. THEY SHOWED THE ******* FIGHT SCENE OF WHICH I CHEOGRAPHED OMG.
anyways i'm searching for the cna news clip and try to host it asap. otherwise we'd have to wait for a copy for our dear mr producer.
i enjoyed last nite, tho i wish i slept more. and had more booze too, HAHAHAHA. oh and reno if ur readin this, thanks for the booze.
also, special thanks to everyone, from minders, to the ppl in the skit. and esp fatimah who even had to go whitesands to get the plastic kelp(is that how's it spelt?)
mr producer for being more tolerant than i expected and getting cordless headsets for me and mike(i swear he was ready to bust someone up when the screw ups kept on coming before the actual thing)
jacen and his for giving tremendous help as a minder, prop assistance and belanja-ing the chalet thingy...(ur like ******* multi-purpose man)
jeanette for running around and all.. man, i think i lost 5yrs due to the stress. haha.
but the video of the skit was well worth the problems we went thru. it could have been better, but onli under better circumstances. in other words, it was best we could have pulled off given the amount of screw ups we had.
and sue, once again... i am eternally sorry about wat happened... =\ and thanks for the great job on stage...

One of my unforgettable moments of CosFest 2005 was when we were leaving Downtown East to go to the Loyang terrace.
While we were waiting for a taxi at the main entrance, there were 2 police cars parked out front. And as the police walked out from the main entrance to get to their cars, they were all staring at Hobbes's SWAT outfit, 'cos gosh, it looked soooo unbelievably REAL!!
So Hobbes, great job on the outfit!

Anyways, I guess my thank you would have to be the longest, coz there's really alot of pple to thank. Considering I hardly slept, I'll keep it short and categorise things:
CAST: You guys rocked! The performance was great. It was better than expected (considering the little time we had to get it together). The crowd seemed to love it, especially when Yazid died. SPECIAL MENTION: And the Best Actress is........*drumroll*.......SUE! (a.k.a. Jedi_Healer) I'm like so amazed by your professionalism in the whole thing, even before the.....fall. I'm so serious, I'm super impressed, and I'm rarely even impressed. Thank you so much. The guys in the fight, for your countless hours of practicing. Your devotion is amazing.
CREW: These are the guys who took care of our stuff, Help us take photos, videotape the play. We couldn't have do it without you. My heartfelt thanks. SPECIAL MENTION: the Konoha Shinobi, both of them, thanks for accomplishing every mission I send you on. And also Jacen, for the chalet, thanks so much.
THE ORGANISER: (do they even read this forum?) Thanks for putting up with all the request and making special exception for our group. You have my thanks and kindest thoughts =)
EVERYONE FROM HERE WHO WAS THERE: Thank you so much for putting up with me. I know I got a little (who am I kidding? A lot!!) Dark Side of the Force in the prep for the skit. Everything just went very wrong. Sorry guys, my sincere apologises. And yes Faiz, I WAS about to sock people there.
Now for some serious work. Sigh.

Correction: shinobis of the Hidden Rain, not Konoha *cough
It was pure fun la....See my 'fantastic armored' mandalore on stage (even a 8 yr old kid screamed "JANGO FETT!!!" at sure, shows how 'authentic out s(crap) armor was....haha) And our FFSG clashing sabers on stage while anime supporters hit them selves silly (wondering if they could even come close to what we did). We didnt win anything ( i wonder y.........conspiracy??! IF we won then THAT would be blasphemous!!), but I am sure we won over the crowds hearts, recognition and probably some new fans!
I hope we could have this again man!

WOOHOO!! I had soooo much fun during the whole cosfest. (My 1st by the way!) Its so damn cool! And I was so psyched when Crovus ran out of the chalet and shouted "WE WERE ON TV!!" Yazid and Faiz were really great at the throwing FX. When i saw the tape i was like WOAH!!! It was really funny when the crowd went wild when Yazid died haha. Hey dude you got the award for best death scene haha. Looking forward for the next one YEAH!!

Slept at 12am and yet was still dozing off in class today...
Cosfest was a blast.
We were on tv?! Anyone got a clip?
Many, many thanks to everyone who helped make it possible. Thanks Crovus for giving me a part as voice talent, hope I didn't sound too girly. And Yazid, thanks for going through the script with me; it helped tremendously. Hope you managed to fix your FX. Couldn't see clearly what was going on so I didn't see the fall, but Sue good to know you're okay.
A friend who saw our skit said it was really cool, especially the lightsabre duel, which looked quite real. //applauds
Could whoever has the video clips from Cosfest and the May 21st costume parade upload them somewhere? I haven't seen them.
Photos. Unfortunately there aren't many pictures of us because quite a few of those that I have are blur. (Lots of Bleach though, haha. That blur of motion in cosfest05011.jpg is Yachiru running into the picture, which is darn cool in an accidental way. )

Faiz, it's alright man. Was really coughing yesterday, but am pretty fine now. Oh and trust me, it takes much more than that to knock me out. LOL my mind was, "Cannot move cannot move cannot move, but OMG it hurts!!"
Crovus, How about the ONLY actress? Heh but thank you. I feel so honoured..lol

Faiz aka Master Hakama, for crushing my ribs and bruising my lung (I'm just joking!!). Haha..nah, thanks for getting me this "gig", and being there for practices when most of the other people couldn't make it, scheduling my time in with the others....... Thank you!
Coolv1rus aka Jacen, thanks for the armour, albeit incomplete. Hehe I didn't look too bad I should say.. LOL
Yazid, Faiz, Mercurio, Xeno, It was great working with you guys onstage. I must say the fight scene was AWESOME!! Great job guys! Keep it up...

Mike's friend (?), for videoing us onstage...can't wait to see them!
Minders/Clare's sister for the most part *grin*, for looking after our stuff when we're gone. It may not seem like much, but that's a really important job. Got lotsa important and expensive stuff in my bag... heh did I just say that?

no probs sue, it was a duty handed down from above(read mr producer) that i make sure u are able to attend as much as possible, and again, it wasnt just my choice for u to be the bounty hunter, u were just one of my suggested female leads =P. well i guess now that ur ok with me literally falling on you(LOL), i hope u'll enjoy the video that was taken. u can freeze frame and do a frame by frame of me trip and fall. it looks realistic, coz i was REALLY falling LOL.
well... cosfest video clips will be delayed a bit, somehow mr producer is having problems with the footage/conversion thingy. and he'll be damn busy these few days and all as well, and i'm trying to see if i can get the footage from mike to go transfer and upload first. and i cant find the footage i saw on tv anywhere else... and no one taped it... so... i dun think we'd be able to see that again... sigh..
so we'll see how it goes folks.
