In all my life of buying dvds, I have never heard of any mass-release dvd selling out. ROTS dvd, which is a mass-release dvd, should still be selling at stores everywhere.
From my experience, the DVD which sold out the fastest is the localized version dvd of FF7: Advent Children (extremely horrible english subtitling). It was selling only at $16.90 at only one store I know.
Code 3's out. Found out it was released ysterday. Yeah I thought it strange that a lot of shops either did'nt have Code 1s or has already sold them out. It was frustrating

If you are talking about the $29.90 or $34.90 ones, they are not Code 3. They are Region Free.
And if you read the other thread "ROTS DVD Sighted!", Code 1 may not neccessarily give you better quality.
This Asian Region Free version might be the best buy locally.
