Aww, Moose! sad hugs I have to admit that lateral thinking q's are horrible. And seeing as I'm out later, I'll update a couple of hours early...

So, congrats to Richie on getting the answer right *Begins to suspect that Richie is actually Einstein's ghost's sock, or something like that... thinking grin *

The answer to Question 5 is:

The door wasn't locked so he could easily get water from the well. doh!

Moose: 2 points

Dar: 1 1/2 points

Richie: 3 1/2 points

Question 6:

In which film did Tom Cruise play a character called Charlie Babbitt?

That question made no sense, if someone is a prisoner it means they're imprisoned and that means they can't get out.
Still, seems I guessed right anyhow

Yes, I'll admit that that did occur to me once I re-read the question. Maybe the other door was locked? thinking Still, that's what the official question book thingy said. whistling I was just disappointed that no one went with my initial guess of 'he had a pack of straws which he joined together...' grin

Anyway, Question 6 - congrats again to Richie - the answer is:

Tom Cruise played Charlie Babbitt in Rain Man

Moose: 2 points

Dar: 1 1/2 points

Richie: 3 1/2 points

Cummon' Moose and Dar - you're not gonna let Richie get away with quiz domination, are ya? wink

Now for Question 7 of 10:

What is the world's largest fish?

Darn plain Richie, are there any gaps in your knowledge? tongue

So, the answer to Question 7, which, unsurprisingly Richie got (with the addition of a very long and highly unpronouncable Latin name of a long dead fish tongue )...

The world's largest living fish, is the Whale Shark

Moose: 2 points

Dar: 1 1/2 points

Richie: 4 1/2 points

So, due to Moose having technical difficulties ( hugs ) and the fact that I'm away this weekend, I'll put up Question 8 on Monday happy

Sorry for the fancy Latin, I just added it incase it was a deceiving question. I wasn't sure if you meant the Largest Fish currently living or the Largest Fish Ever.

That's Ok Richie - I just thought it was amusing that you went to all that trouble! tongue

Anyway, as promised - here is Question 8, folks! grin

In the U2 song Vertigo, the lead singer Bono starts by saying: "Uno, dos, tres, catorce!" Why is this sentence technically incorrect?

Apologies for my little hiatus, guys sad

The answer to Question 8 is:

"Uno, dos, tres, catorce!" is Spanish for "One, two, three, fourteen!"

And yes, while Bono has managed to riggle his way out of that one with some artsy-waffle, I still say never trust the translators... tongue It's like a girl on Eurovision a couple of years ago who sang a song in English, even though she couldn't speak a word of it. All was fine until she reached the chorus line: "And then you'll be my butt" laugh grin

Anyways, good guess Moose (it's better to guess than not, I always say wink ), but the point goes to Richie applause

Moose: 2 points

Dar: 1 1/2 points

Richie: 5 1/2 points

Nearly there... And now Question 9:

Before polishing leather shoes with a woolen cloth, they can be made to look spik and span if you rub them with:

a. banana mash
b. apple juice or
c. half an onion
