It's OK. I'm going to Brisbane in Feb for 10 days to watch the cricket. Really looking forward to it, as I hsve never been to Brisbane before. I was looking on the net for cheap accommodation, and I think I found a good one. It's a motel,$85 a night, and it's a 10 minute walk to the Gabba (cricket ground). It has all the amenities I need plus more and looks like a nice place.
I also have a new toy to play with. My ipod has packed in (you can charge it up overnight and it will last 5 seconds the next day), so I got a Toshiba Gigabeat!

That sounds good. 
I've never heard of those before. I'm looking at a 4GB Alba mp3 player, it's black and has an SD slot so I can add more space to it. It's £40 though, and I haven't got that much.

My dad has a Gigabeat, and so does one of my old bosses. They recommend them, as it syncs with Windows media 10. Hopefully the battery lasts a while! I can't afford this either (at $300), but I need something to keep me sane.

Ooo... Pretty shiny! 
I recently stole my housemates iPod shuffle, but it's only 512mb, so methinks a new one will soon be required (and the fact that I'm morally opposed to Apple products... *Throws a grand piano at Apple*  )
Oh and moosemousse: Oddly enough, I've had my eye on the Alba's for quite a while now (being one of the few with an SD slot and replaceable batteries), and I'm pretty sure it'll be down to £20 in a few months time - they seem to depreciate quite quickly

Aww... But having it at the end of July sucks too because when you were at school, everyone else had a birthday cake and/or present on their birthday, but mine was in the middle of the summer hols... And now, everyone's just on holiday in different countries - it's nigh on impossible to organise anything where everyone can make it!
