Don't get me started. 27 years worth of gaming and gaming history here boy. Both physical remnants of gaming history and and in my head.
I must say though, other than the complete and utter lack of compelling *must have* games (and exclusives) the PS3 is a reasonable buy *hahaha*

It's not being 'phased out'. :P
I look objectively at all systems. I actually would like a PS3. But, as I said, it's the GAMES that matter and there's nothing (yet) on the PS3 that makes me want it. This will change over time, however, there are numerous ones on the 360.
At the moment, as a console, the PS3 makes a good BluRay player...
Still, I have neither. the 360 is a little overpriced (~$100). And the PS3 has a controller design that's older than you Neither of which thrill me. Hell, I'll probably grab a Wii first.

OK, so the PS3 may not have any OMG blow your mind exclusives (mind you, UNCHARTED as fantasmic, if a little too short) but even so, it runs its multi platformers just as well if not better in some circumstances then its biggest competition.
Give it another 6-7 months, and your exclusives will come
And, controller older than I am?? Dont fix what aint broke!!
And did I mention the PS3 is one of the cheapest Blu-ray players on the market, yet still does so much more?

It is, and Force Unleashed will be on it later this year!  And the controller design is one everyone knows, old farts to youglings! I know I know how to use it! We use ours as a blu ray player mostly, but it does have about 4 games now. Justifier also loves it, because the old PS2 is in the lounge and the kids play that, the PS4 is 'his toy' and we all know that little boys grow into big boys and the only real difference is their toys get bigger.
