RE: Costume Projects Progress Reports
Here is a good start,
and
this thread might help.
But
this is
probably the best site for costuming SW style. There is a pattern, simplicity pattern 5840, its a decent base for the tunic. But
Here is the best robe pattern/turtorial!

I knew about the padawansguide, but forgot about that last link...I think I've seen it before
Edit: So that pattern is the best for the tunic? When I get some time in about a week, I'm going to have to start a-lookin'...

RE: Costume Projects Progress Reports
The method you see in my tutorial is what I used for my two sets of robes, DD's sith robe, Toddi's robe, plus a robe for MS (which is the one in the tutorial). It's very easy, in fact it's a heck of a lot easier than a pattern (no sleeves to attach as it's all cut as one). If you have any questions or need an extra hand or clarification, just ask.

Are you making an undertunic as well skipp, or just an overtunic?
I don't think that pattern comes with a pants pattern. Do you already have pants? I have a different pattern I can suggest if you need pants. It comes with pants and a tunic pattern.

RE: Costume Projects Progress Reports
Hey, I would recommend that! Fake collar and fake sleeves from the elbow downwards, and the rest is a comfy, stretchy t-shirt! That's what they did with Obi-Wan in the movie
but seriously, I would recommend that. The reason why I asked was because if you use the same pattern for tunic and undertunic, you end up with extra bulk underneath. I have had to make my undertunics more fitted, especially along the sleeve and under the arms.

I have some boots that will possibly fit you also,
skipp
. They're good for Jedi, you could borrow them on occasion.
