It depends. I usually adapt patterns. Although I have a few base patterns I use for most things now. Lately I have been drafting and draping more.

I can probably put up pics of progress so far in the next couple of days. I'm getting started on the cape tomorrow.

I am suggesting to Skip that he orders his costume this week. Whether he'll listen is a different story.

I'm putting the design on my cape as we speak. It actually looks okay. But I don't think I have enough fabric for the hood, so I'll have to head back to Lincraft on Tuesday.

I seem to be getting paint all over my fingers though... wink

ok my cloak is nearly complete am just doing the hemming will put up some pics later and then i have to start on SC1's Darth Maul. I am just wandering what people think about putting wire in the hood part of Barriss Offee's cloak to keep it open? It looks sorta good with it in but was wandering if anyone had any other ideas?

Sounds good!

I've seen people put some sort of padding in it too, like wadding or something to even up the stiffness so it's not just on the edge. How does it look with the wire?
