I have to see a podiatrist tomorrow. Lately my feet have been in more pain then usual. After about 20 mins of standing i'm in unbelivable pain. Apparently i have extremly high arches and having small feet doen't help it, plus my feet swell quite often, which means fluid retention. Fun fun fun! Hopefully the doctor will be able to figure out what's wrong and what needs to be done! I hope i don't have to go on fluid tablets 
That's my rant for today

I feel like crap.
Bloody hell  This is *not* the time for it. This time next week, sure, I'll stay at home for several days and not care one bit. But now is just not convenient...

About 6 weeks ago I began to lose the feeling in my right hand, fingers mainly. Then over the school holidays and my trip to Melbourne, the numbness had progressed down my right leg and into my foot. So, after much persuasion from family and close friends I took myself to the doctor. I spent an hour being pinched, prodded and pinned to test the extent of this. Clearly my GP was more worried than I was. Anyway, less than an hour after that I was having a CT Scan!! Seems they were looking for 'something'. CT Scan showed I had a brain, and some of you may have seen the proof as DM asked me to post it!! Anyway, despite finding a brain, they found no cause. So next step was to present at ER to get into the 'system'. After several hours of prodding, needles and blood tests I was admitted to Flinders. Over the next week I had a brain MRI, a Neck MRI, a Spinal MRI, a full body CT, a Nuclear bone scan and a lumber puncture. Such a fun way to spend a week, and the Friday night the man in the room beside me was dying. Rotten week.
Results?
As you can see, I have a 'mass' for want of a better word, in my spinal cord. Its in my neck and to the right, therefore affecting my right side. Its progressed to my left foot in the last two days so today (after Justifier jumped up and down and demanded action) they started me on some steroid drugs that are usually for Multiple Sclerosis. What is it? We don't know, it's been narrowed down to my cancer back or MS. But as its actually inside the spinal cord, they are very very hesitant to do a biopsy as its dangerous. So now I have to wait and see if this works, helps, makes a difference.
WHy am I telling you all? Because over the coming weeks I plan to suck every ounce of strength from the SAFF, NOT SYMPATHY, I DON'T WANT NOR NEED IT, I just want your strength and courage as this is scaring the force out of me.....

At least there's 'something' rather than 'nothing' as the cause of your symptoms...damn scary not knowing what is causing problems - at least you can focus on that. Not much comfort at the moment I'd imagine, but onward and upward from here.

Goddess took me to Flinders today and even (with the docs permission) tried to put my IV in, but due to my cancer drugs and my treatments, my veins arent that great and when I winced in pain, she got upset that she was hurting me! So another doc took over (due to my weak veins) and she hurt me WAY more than Goddess ever could have!!ARGH!!! She's been wonderful to talk to about this and so has DM.....my two rocks  Justifier is utterly brilliant and my wonderful kids are smiling for me, regardless, wont let them be down as mum is going to be fine, count on it!
