Really good to see you here man, I'm always dying to have a debate about the EU.
I agree that it's good that Krayt's not a clone, I hadn't thought of that actually, like you said, that was the old "crutch" & thankfully they have moved away from that.
I don't mind the current comics, I was dying to know Krayt's identity, but I'm prefering the Legacy novels...the Mando stuff in them has just been killing me though.
Would love to see you at SAFF more often Matt

I just want to know how it is possible for K'Kruhk to still be alive, that whole healing tranceto excuse the character from staving off death is getting old, like the undies with the elastic poking through.

I guess it's like the whole "clone" Emperor thing...when the EU was first started, it was all clones...even Luuke...give me a break. Then there was the whole Leia's children being kidnapped every second book. Those idea's were getting pretty tired. That was why I liked the Vong series- it was very very different in the EU series.

Been in contact with people who've read Fury and have been reading spoilers too, so if you really want to know highlight:
Small amount of Luke and Ben interaction in this novel, but from my knowledge of it he take's Ben as his apprentice, very sweet!
Han and Leia find out Allana's their Granddaughter after rescuing her from Jacen/Cadeus, (lots of tears, very emotional.)
Jacen/Cadeus duels with Kyle Katarn, Valin Horn turns up a lot, Jacen/Cadeus strangles a lot of underlings in this novel.
Jaina decides at the end, with Han's encouragement, to do some bounty-hunter training under Boba Fett to target Jacen/Cadeus. (Too cool, I know. )

If we want to go with a wild answer, i'd say some sort of pygmie race that was left underwater too long without adequate circulation/filtration. That turned pools green, and can kill fish so it can turn Yoda three shades of ugly too.
