No you dont, dont lie... tongue

I have to say that i enjoyed Spidey 3. Apart from there being too many baddies there were some excellent fight scenes and not a bad storyline. The fights between spidey and .... goblin guy were awesome. I especially loved the bit where spidey blew half his face off.... laugh

Overal, not a bad movie but could be better.

i give it coffee coffee coffee . (3 out of 5)

C'mon you gotta love emo spidey struting down the street with people looking at him like he's crazy then DANCING after he get new clothes. That was comedic Genious... laugh

Sorry to step on your tootsies Aiel but.....

Do You mean Gwen Stacy ?.

Felicia Harding is Black Cat in the Animated series (Blonde Just as Gwen is but she had a medallion which turned her hair white (that or looking at Chewie Shaved did it)

plus

Quentin Beck was Mysterio.

John Jameson (in the animated series at least) was responsible for finding Promethium X in space or as most people know is the Symbiote which turned Spidey bad and later on created Venom. I do like the fact they kept the whole Symbiote from Space riff.

You're on the Ball with Dr. Curt Conners as the Lizard I wanna see him grin

Being A Spidey fan I kinda know this.

Again Apologies Aiel.

No problems here, I used to tape the cartoons and also buy Spidey comics for my brother, so I know what you mean, but in the cartoons Goblin junior also ended up in a mental assylum, so I'm not entirely certain the movies are going to follow formula. (Like I said on Sunday, poetic license and script writers ideas.)

I'm just going on a gut feeling, because I think the 90s comics might have messed with the 70s comics and cartoons and the movies could possibly be following suit. peace

Reviews ...

Spidey 3

Well ... I thought they'd improve from the 2nd film, but looks like they have gone in the wrong direction. Too many bad guys, and although Peter Parker's 'darkside' was a good idea ... it was poorly executed. Watching the scene in the jazz club, I wondered if I was watching 'The Mask' with Peter's 'amazing' dancing. The movie tried to do too much. This'll be a good watch when languishing on the couch, hung over and not wanting to think too much.

If they make a 4th, it'd better be DAMN good.

Pirates Of The Carribean: At World's End

I was wary of the length ... but I was NEVER bored for the entire duration of the film. I really enjoyed it! Had enough humour as well as twists that kept me entertained. Some great sequences which lifted it. It goes somewhere else yet still stays faithful to the genre. I love a movie where not everyone wins in the end. The separating of husband and wife was excellent and not expected.

Special mention has to go to the cameo of Keith Richards. Great credit to the producers for making him Jack's father. The Jack Sparrow character's physical appearance was based on Keith when they did the first movie and he actually did a damn good job! Better than Mick Jagger in Ned Kelly or Freejack! tongue

If there are more, I'd go watch wink

**NB Saw a trailers for Transformers and Harry Potter: OOTP before the movie. Both look good! Bring on July! grin

Agree with you there Toddi! Loved the peanut scene/ Rock Crabs. .Especially loved the banter between the 'other' Jacks. Wasn't overly pleased at Keith Richards performance.Perfect for the choice of Jack's dad in the looks department but didn't even really notice him most of the time. Not that he had a whole lot to do with the movie. Loved the line about his mother though! Fairly happy with the ending. Hopefully will make a 4th. praying Overall i give this film a coffee coffee coffee coffee /5 (4 out of 5)

I also saw this week 'Because I Said So' starring Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo. Typical feel good girly movie. Good cast but why does almost every Mandy Moore movie have to have her sing?? Some good one liners and scenes but overall predictable ending. coffee coffee /5 (2 out of 5)

saw Shrek the Third last night:

Not bad..more of the same that you got from Shrek 2. The problem with the Shrek series is that the first was so damn funny !! You wonder if in making the sequels it cheapens the Shrek experience?

The third was good, some funny moments as you would expect from a Shrek flick. Puss in Boots was adorable as ever & Donkey was reliably funny.... Even Donkey doing a "Puss" moment laugh

Overall, if you liked the second you'll likely like the third.

I give it :

I saw Shrek 3 last Thurs...

I give it a coffee coffee / coffee

Some funny moments, but about 10 minutes after walking out I completely forgot about it, which isn't a good sign. I remember when I walked out of the first one thinking, "wow, that was great, very original, very funny". The second was okay, but the third... I felt disappointed. I wish I had laughed more...

Only characters I enjoyed were Puss in boots and Donkey.

Pirates 3 was better than I expected. I quite enjoyed it. Probably could've done with some trimming and some bits were quite literally dumb/stupid/unintelligent. Overall a good deal of fun though. The whole Calypso thing was very weird though.

I saw Shrek the Third last yesterday.

Thought it was quite funny. Particulary liked the scene where the frogs were singing live and let die.
Loved Puss in Boots as always. The princess's not so much. Not a bad story line but thought it would be more about and see more of Fiona's pregnancy and/or the baby.
Some great one liner's, great soundtrack and fantastic animation.

just back from seeing the FANTASTIC FOUR

not too bad...nothing to write home about either.

There were a few to many throw away gags for my liking, simple humour & cheap laughs. Humour in a movie like this is important but I felt it stunted the development of the characters..or perhaps they are never going to develop into strong characters anyway.

I feel that the Human Torch is the only one of the four who could comand his own movie & perhaps that's the problem, as individual characters they don't have enough depth, but all together it makes it enough...just.

The silver surfer character was an interesting addition to the Fantastic four. His character was well written & was portrayed on screen. The special effects were what you would expect from a Hollywood movie of this type...pretty good, & the action scenes kept the movie rolling along nicely.

At an hour and a half I never found myself getting bored, so I guess the action was enough to keep me interested in it.

Overall, not bad, probably better than the first one, but not by a great deal. I guess there's only so much you do with the characters you have to work with...still a good view if you like comic book heroes.

I give it:

You would be guessing correctly...

I couldn't care if she was the worst actress in the world.

Just the fact that women like her & Morena exist is good enough for me.
